"We were able to get a corner room and the view was beautiful! The room itself was so cool with lots of vintage decor. Right when you walk in there was an herbal spice smell that was so cozy. There was a record player with some records that we played and the vibe was just right. We also loved the comfort of the shower with a frosted window in it. Bed was very high quality and nice to sleep in. Would recommend a stay here!"

"It was safe and clean. Bathroom was excellent, but i thought we were getting two queen beds and they definitely were not queen size beds. The rooms were pretty tight for 3 people. Coffee was not good and poor selection of creamers/sweeteners. Breakfast was satisfactory, aside from the coffee. I can not stress enough that it felt safe. Especially for people from Nebraska who had no idea about the area. "

When we made the reservation for our family of 4 (my husband, our daughters, 14 and 12, and me) we didn't know that three of us were expected to sleep in a king bed and the other in a rollaway bed (it didn't so anywhere). "Tiny even for NYC standards. Had to put luggage in the bathroom. The staff was so noisy at all hours. The elevator takes forever. They don’t even offer coffee in the lobby in the morning. Literally nothing good to say "

"There was no restaurant. Just prepackaged food and coffee. More like a bar menu and food was not good. Exorbitant fees of $30/day whether you used their "restaurant" or not. Staff was nice and attentive but food not worth it at all much less $30/day "

"NU Brooklyn is, in the words of Jack Reacher," Everything you need, nothing you don't." Well placed ,10 minutes walk from multiple subway stations. Clean, friendly, comfortable and functional. Spare not fancy. Would be 4 stars but goes down to three because they could not fix a broken light over the sink over 3 full days, including one regular workday, threatening to turn shaving into a blood letting. Will definitely stay again. "

"This hotel is quite good! The front desk staff was nice. The breakfast buffet was delicious—my granddaughters loved the pancake machine. It was great that there was a pool table so I taught my granddaughters to play pool. The room itself had plenty of space and the ventilation was very quiet. My only issue was the refrigerator motor which was very noisy."
