"Our room was way in the back on the water which is fine except we had to carry our bags way back there with no sidewalk, so no rolling of bags, carrying. There was no wifi but I was give the password to the admin wifi after I asked for it (walking back to the desk after getting to my room). I tried contacting them via Expedia to see if I could drop my bags off early. It took a few hours and several questions for them to finally reply, yes. Breakfast is only 1 option for your included breakfast....

"Overall, we had a fantastic stay. They do need to work on some of the small details. Had to often call housekeeping to bring washcloths and sugar at the coffee station little things like that we stayed in a bungalow and did have to have them come clear out the outdoor shower of branches that have fallen in and after two days were not picked up by housekeeping other things were spot on. "This property is quiet and tucked away. You can snorkel right off the property with an eclectic assortment of marine life to view. The pool is so clean and offers beautiful view of sunset. Breakfast was another surprise; hearty enough to last me most of the day. There are plenty of places to explore on foot into half moon bay. The staff is charming and extremely helpful. Would definitely visit again!"

"The property was nice. Food was good. The main pool is nice but needs a lot of tiles replaced. Snack bar food needs improved, a lot of the food was room temp. There is no snorkeling in front of the resort,BUT go to the beach turn left walk about 10-12 min to the end of the beach and snorkel about 150 feet out and you'll find excellent snorkeling"

"We loved our stay at Puerta Azul. They have their own dock to start snorkeling and kayaking from, as well as boat pickups of you prefer tours to reach farther destinations. Breakfast onsite was great with a weekly rotating menu. One thing to note is that the onsite restaurant is the only convenient but expensive option for lunch and dinner. The main road is not comfortably walkable, although we did do it a few nights for more variety. The front desk can also call taxis for you. The reef...
