"We stayed in a room that had a shower over the bath, quite a step to get out, we feel a bath mat should be provided. The towels are lovely and big, the bed was very comfortable but the pillows need replacing. Nice place to stay as it’s an easy walk into town. Yes we would stay here again."

"Clean room, easy parking with friendly and professional staff. Warm welcome with a lovely Tavern for a drink, limited menu for dinner but very tasty simple food. The inclusive breakfast buffet was excellent, good selection of cooked and continental breakfast items. We were a couple and enjoyed the knights sword fighting, brilliant performances. For families with young children there was a small park, story telling with Zog and Knights interacting throughout dinner."

"Lovely clean room, included fridge, ironing board, iron as well as the usual things you'd expect like tea/coffee facilities, desk, TV, toiletries, hair dryer. Comfy bed. I'd recommend to stay here but if you're a light sleeper you may need ear plugs as occasional traffic can be heard. Excellent breakfast choice, cooked breakfast made fresh to order. Would definitely stay here again "

"The hotel is situated in a fantastic location with great views, the staff are friendly and knowledgeable about what guests expect and they deliver with ease, the rooms are unique and comfortable which complement the amazing views The car park is ample and safe for hotel guests and for restaurant diners our continental breakfast was great and accompanied by a barista coffee, well worth the visit and looking forward to visiting again "

"Excellent position in centre of town with free parking. Good size room and friendly staff. Sunday Roast meal was very good despite us arriving near end of serving time. Breakfast adequate and enjoyed. Only problem was the lumpy pillows which were uncomfortable and so didn’t sleep very well."

"Reception looks modern and clean. And the staff both checking in and out were friendly and welcoming. The room however was dated and the bathroom needs work due to cracked grouting, mould in the shower and just generally tired looking. The bed was very springy but we appreciate they added an extra for my child for the booking. "

"We stayed at Heythrop Park over the Easter weekend. The hotel is beautiful and big. Our room was in a perfect location near in the North wing and we were very close to their spa facilities. There was no information saying we had to check-in at a different location. This is what we were informed by reception at North wing. Never managed to figure that out!! "We were disappointed that the pictures advertising the Walton Hall Hotel & Spa were quite deceptive. The actual hotel is not at all connected to the historic Walton Hall, and the hotel wing and room that we experienced were very worn and in need of a renovation. The pool and fitness room were listed on Expedia as amenities, but these facilities are not owned by the hotel and require payment for use (after registering our complaint, we were given free passes).
