The whole premises were spotless.
Staff and service first class.
Meals excellent.
Accommodation spacious and spotless.
Excellent overnight stay and dinner and breakfast.
My stay was very good. Service, pricing, cleanliness excellent.
There was a rumbling noise all night (room 8) in the adjacent wall (room 10) I asked the Mngr. He looked into it but it did not stop. Fortunately it was in the other room and I could close the door to sleep.
The bed was very comfortable.
Great stay. I will return.
Great breakfast and wonderful staff!
Room was very comfortable, and had everything we needed!

Nice pub but the rooms need a bit of work. The blinds are terrible so you are kept awake by the outside lights and then woken up by the sun in the morning. The mattress was also terrible.
Nice breakfast and the pub is lovely.
Very good stay . Lovely location, great staff and friendly and professional service.
Only disappointment is the breakfast time 0700-0830 during the week. Nice when relaxing on a break to lie in and enjoy breakfast a little later
Stop over after a family occasion. Excellent value and great rooms. Food in the restaurant was great and traditional as well as an Indian selection. Breakfast was good in the morning although it was from 7 - 8.30. A bit early and doable.would definitely stay again.
The room was quiet and spotlessly clean, and had all the necessary amenities . Parking was easy and plentiful. The food at dinner and breakfast was hot, tasy and cooked-to-order. The only downside was the mattress which was obviously well worn and caused me to roll to the edge of the bed. To his credit the manager/ receptionist was shocked when I told him and said he would report it immediately. If guests don't report it, then management can't be blamed as it isnt visible when making up the bed.
A lovely charm about the Blue Boar, staff were friendly and welcoming, a real feel of a country pub!
The room was a little basic but cosy and comfortable, and well maintained.
We had a great two night stay and enjoyed breakfast and evening meals.
The menu is much better than your normal pub food and the Indian dishes are worth trying.
Cannot be faulted for the comfort of the bedrooms bar and restaurant, service provided by the staff and quality of the food and drink
This place is excellent and very well appointed for its moderately low price. The room was spacious and clean and the restaurant was very good. It served my needs for a stopover in the area
BUT BUT BUT
There is a kitchen fan which was on all night and made a TERRIBLE HUMMING NOISE. I asked about this and the owner seemed to say no-one had mentioned it before but looking at reviews I see they have. This was only solved by me sleeping in a small bed on the corridor side. This must be fixed please.
This was our second visit, many years apart. The Inn was well kept, friendly, accommodating. The room was so clean and lovely. The food was fabulous. A very excellent place to stay.
We generally had a good stay at The Blue Boar. It is an attractive building in a lovely, quiet location. The room was clean and good and the food in the evening was well cooked. Breakfast was a bit limited, with no fresh fruits, but was otherwise OK. Our only criticism was that our ( premier!!) room was above the kitchen and we were a bit disturbed by two loud humming noises from there overnight, one of which was constant and the other intermittent. Other rooms, in different places, probably wouldn't have been affected.
