"I stayed in Room 118. I found cockroaches in the bathroom. At least the room was tiny. That meant fewer cockroaches. The room had two windows. Both fronted the alley where bums and barking dogs make noise all day and night. Underneath both windows in the alley are dumpsters. The lids go up and down with dumpster divers and trash truck pickups. One of the windows had no shades. There is a light pole in the alley that blasts light through this window all night long. I complained to Kelly, the manager at the front desk the night I stayed there and she could have cared less. She gives you that look that only comes from people who are not paid enough to care. I tried to get a refund from Hotels.com and Lumea by the Alleyway, but was denied. I reached out to my bank and I hope to be refunded through them. This hotel is located a few blocks from Ocean Blvd but you might as well be a thousand miles away from the sea. If you like alleyways and sketchy looking people, this is the place for you. But think twice. The immediate area of this neighborhood is not nice. The people at the front desk, when you can find them, are indifferent at best and act like they'd rather be somewhere else entirely. And I feel the same way. Avoid Lumea by the Alleyway."

"Nice property, very typical of a large hotel. The lobby bar served food, friendly staff and good food. Decent pool and gym. The property is close to small shops and places to get a haircut. The hotel was having trouble with checking people in but the staff was so friendly managing through the situation. "

"Family Travel During our two-night stay, we enjoyed a spacious, clean, and beautifully appointed room with a balcony. The hotel’s restaurant served cook-to-order breakfast and dinner, which we appreciated. We also made good use of the pool and lounge chairs, and especially loved gathering around the fire pits with s'mores. Overall, we had a delightful experience."

"In the last few Month's i have rented rooms here quite a bit. The Hotel is okay but one Front Desk Clerk lately has been quite rude and unprofessional in that all of a sudden with my past two rentals he started demanding a $100.00 deposit that was never asked for the several times before i rented a room and he demands it in a most unfriendly and hostile way which for a business that is suppose to be Hospitable he make's you feel anything but welcome. The only reason i pick this Hotel is because of the affordable price on the average rooms but i have started to look at other options because this employee who claims he is a Manager has really started to offend me in many way's so i cannot recommend staying here to anyone due to his terrible and unfriendly personality which is very disturbing."

"Room was clean, breakfast staff was very friendly and helpful always cleaning and making sure food was filled, front desk clerk was not so helpful (male) shuttle bus was not on time luckily i planned to wake up early (every half hour) we were there at 620am and was told the next bus would be available at 7. Laundry facility washers were working but dryer was not producing hot air."
