The place is old but still very comfortable and affordable. The staff is really nice.

Paul

I arrived at the front desk at about 12:45 pm on Saturday May 18th. Since check in is 3:00 pm, I asked whether it might be possible to check in early. The clerk said that we could, but that there would be a $20 surcharge. I expressed surprise and asked for an explanation. The clerk stated that he did not know why the policy was in place. I asked how long the policy had been in place and the clerk stated that it was introduced in the previous week. Then, he said that on this occasion I would not need to pay the surcharge. I checked in and went to my room.

The hotel is on an absolutely beautiful property. The staff are very friendly and professional. The onsite restaurant is amazing. We will be returning to this property. A hidden gem that is worth checking out for anyone looking for something different than typical chain type of hotel settings.

Room was clean. Bedding was nice and towels were soft. The actual bed was terrible. Super soft and sunk in the middle. Room was so tight that I walked into the tall dresser in the night, trying to get to the bathroom. There was nowhere to plug in my phone beside the bed. The shower was good. The breakfast buffet was great.

Nice quiet spot, park like setting, experience contry side atmosphere in the city The restaurant buffet breakfast excellent and good deal for the money. Was not busy when we were there.

A former mansion- so lots of character. Very friendly staff. Food was excellent . Nice beds.We really appreciated the free breakfast - compliments Expedia. ($25 value each) Proximity to Western was perfect . A gem!

The location is good. Suite size is good. Majority of the furniture is quite worn and scuffed up which affects the comfort of your stay.
