We are family with 4 and the room is very very small. the shower facility was not too good and damaged. No free luggage storage and you have to pay and store it in locker. Breakfast costed 9 pounds per one, child half. It is suitable for backpacker but not for family

This place is good only if you are short of money, don’t expect this to be like the Ritz. You will encounter with low class uneducated people, loud rude teenagers that won’t let you sleep. However I supposed if you are lucky you will get a quiet room, a good with considerate roommates and a clean wall without buggers.

És un bon allotjament per estar a prop del centre de Londres (poc més de mitja hora a peu). Si arribes tard, agafa un pijama gruixut (a les 23:30h apaguen la calefacció). Aconsellem l'esmorzar

Best possible location, Russell Square underground station is a straight shot from Heathrow on the Piccadilly line, the hostel is also 2 blocks from Euston, a major train station. Shopping center half block away with 3 groceries including an awesome Asian one, restaurants everywhere in every direction. 2 block from the Nat’l library & its reading rooms if you need somewhere to sit quietly & relax, b/c that won’t be happening in the hostel which has no common areas except it’s restaurant/bar where you must buy something to hang out. British Museum less than 15 minutes by foot on the other side of Russell Square. Cramped rooms, tiny showers, half the bathroom stall doors don’t lock, not enough electrical outlets, but with this location they really don’t have to make any apologies…

Not bad not good
1 Sammeldusche & Toilette für den ganzen Flur mit circa 40 Mehr-Zimmern. Ein Handtuch unabhängig davon wie lange der Aufenthalt ist. Keine sitzmöglichkeit, um eigenes Essen zu essen.

Make sure you dont get the basement rooms.
Stayed up in London, and been asked for ID they trow up a fuss if you dont have a physical ID and seem to make up the rules as they go along. The smell in the basement floor rooms was horrendous, like the piss house of london.

Very handy to those main attractions like British Museum. It is in close proximity to the main traffic hub, King's cross St Pancras Station, so easy to plan travelling to the places nearby London. During my stay, I woke up very earlier due to noise; I am not sure whether it was due to the operation of the Underground (my best guess, it is located on top of an underground line. In addition, it was not warm inside the room as the heater was mounted almost up to the celling and it was central controlled (only turned on around 20:00 during my stay)

Guasto al riscaldamento, ma...
Abbiamo prenotato una stanza doppia (2 letti a castello) per due notti. Appena entrati notiamo che il riscaldamento non funziona e in camera c'è freddissimo (prima settimana di dicembre). Dopo aver riportato il problema al ragazzo in reception, lui stesso va a verificare e ci informa che il tecnico sarebbe arrivato solo il giorno successivo. Nel frattempo veniamo spostati in un dormitorio da 8 letti, ma riservata solo a noi (come da nostra prenotazione). Il giorno successivo il guasto non era ancora stato riparato e lo staff dell'ostello ci ha confermato che potevamo restare nella stanza da 8 senza problemi. La gentilezza dei ragazzi e la soluzione provvisoria hanno ampiamente sostituito il disagio delle prime ore nella stanza fredda. Torneremo in Generator in qualche altra città.

Ho soggiornato bene in Generator London. Ringrazio anzitutto il personale per la pazienza in quanto, per ritardi voli e collegamenti, da che dovevo arrivare giovedì in tarda mattinata, sono arrivata alle 2 di notte. Sono rimasta in contratto con loro per tenerlo avvisati che il mio arrivo sarebbe stato variabile. Avevo la stanza da 4 con bagno condiviso. La pecca della stanza è che, per una quanto ci fosse il riscaldamento accesso, alla mia postazione letto avevo freddo ma non troppo: non ha influito sul mio riposo. E inoltre la stanza non aveva una luce di cortesia (sarebbe molto gradito se fosse aggiunta). Arrivando tardi, non trovando la torcia del telefono, mi sono ritrovata a dover accendere la luce (povero il mio room-mate, mi avrà odiata) per capire qual era il mio letto, dove c'era da appendere, dove posizionare la valigia, aprirla per prendere il pigiama e così via. C'è però la luce di cortesia nella propria postazione letto con 2 porte USB per caricare telefono e Powerbank (o qualsiasi altro oggetto). C'era una presa elettrica disponibile all'ingresso della stanza (no USB, serve adattatore) I bagni sono minimal e piccoli. Phon disponibile. Salvietta viso e doccia non forniti (credo siano a pagamento). Avevo le mie personali. Colazione a buffet non male. Armadietti di sicurezza a pagamento con carta. Molto comodi e utili. Ho usato quello medio per il mio bagaglio a mano grande. 2 metro abbastanza vicine Russell square e King'cross st pancras

Very bad experience
They put the heating on only 3 hours day.Was -1C outside and no heating in the room. was very cold in the room. The reception didn't care about this.was very unfriendly. I got sick because of this.

I liked the kindness of the staff, the location, the food facilities, the facilities in general. The place was clean, but I saw the maid only making the beds for the newcomers. When are the rooms cleaned thoroughly?

Chambre à 4 lits bien agencée dans 8 m2 (rangements, lavabo), et très calme. Auberge très propre, et très bien située au niveau transport. Furnitures arrangement well done in a 4-bed room of 8 m2 (storage, washbasin), and very quiet. Very clean hostel, and very well located in terms of transport.

Truly a "living in a dorm" experience. Assumed having a private room would feel more like a hotel. Small bathroom had shower with no walls! Plan to live out of your suitcase in the room.
