"We had a two night stay and everything was good. A good room ,superior double, great views and the staff were friendly and helpful."

"I wish we could have given more stars on this hotel because the rooms were actually very clean and lovely and comfortable. Unfortunately we were told we could check in at 3pm but when we got to the hotel, there was a sign on the door to say reception was closed until 4pm and we were given a number to call if assistance was required. We called the number several times and it went to voicemail. Luckily I have family that live just down the road so we weren’t stuck with nowhere to go. It turns out, after speaking to another guest, that the hotel was changing owners that day and the new owners didn’t arrive until 4pm. This is all well and good but it would have been nice for their customers to have been informed of this as I had a 3 year old with me that has just travelled 8 hours in the car from Dover. Due to the change over, the bar and restaurant was also closed, again this is something we were not made aware of. Overall that side of things were a little disappointing for us but I would say it was very clean and the chamber maid we met was so lovely and helpful with our little boy! I would return to the hotel and give the new owners the benefit of the doubt as this may not have been their fault."

"Beautiful hotel, electronic check in was easy on arrival, wonderful staff, lovely room, comfy bed and great facilities. Lovely extras on tea tray and glad of a fan in the room as it was very hot weather. Lovely cooked breakfast and a lots of choice for continental & fabulous views from the hotel terrace. Only downside was the room was a bit dusty in places and loo roll holder was a bit loose. Would stay again though."

"We had a very pleasant 3 night stay at the Marine Hotel recently. Our room was very pleasant overlooking the seafront. Our dietary needs were well catered for at breakfast. I am a coeliac and require gluten free and my husband is a vegetarian. Also hotel has a swimming pool, which was very pleasant in the hot weather."
