Amazing view of the Sea and mountains from the balcony. Extremely friendly and helpful staff and management. Free shuttle to and from port upon arrival and departure. Excellent location within walking distance of town center, port, restaurants etc. Extremely spacious room, with kitchenette. Lipari is a gorgeous island and an excellent hub to explore the surrounding Aeolian islands from.

Spiaggetta vicino alla struttura dove potersi fare un bagno in tranquillità, anche di notte... Servizio familiare che faceva sentire veramente a casa, l'ideale per rilassarsi al massimo e poter godere a pieno della vacanza. Pulizie quotidiane. Struttura molto consigliata.

Personal des Hotels sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Kostenfreier Shuttle-Service zum Hafen. Die Zimmer sind schön und gut ausgestattet. Leider etwas dunkel. Besonders hilfreich fanden wir die Küchenzeile mit Geschirr und den schönen Balkon (von dem aus wir das Meer sehen konnten). Das Hotel hat eine wunderschöne Dachterasse mit einer fantastischen Aussicht (bei klarer Sicht bis nach Sizilien!). Das Frühstück war in Ordnung, allerdings ziemlich einfach und nicht sehr abwechslungsreich. Sauberkeit des Zimmers ist ganz okay, es wird regelmäßig gereinigt. Man sollte allerdings keine zu hohen Ansprüche haben! Dusche etwas beengt. Insgesamt hatten wir einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt und würden das Hotel trotz der kleineren Mängel weiterempfehlen!

Soggiorno perfetto

Ottimo soggiorno: camera enorme con balcone e angolo cottura,nonostante il servizio previsto di colazione, cosa che ci ha permesso di mangiare in hotel una sera. Posizione vicinissima al centro,raggiungibile in 5 minuti a piedi e al porticciolo turistico. Ottima anche la spiaggetta vicino all'hotel. Ciliegina sulla torta sono stati il servizio è la collaborazione del personale dell'hotel. Che dire? Io e mio marito ci siamo innamorati di Lipari e sicuramente torneremo...al Baia Portinenti!

Lipari three day stop no car needed

We walked most of the islands ferry side ,some bug hills to the observatory. The rest of the island can be done on two bus trips but be prepared to come back straight away if winter schedules are operating as the terminus is a turning point only . Don't miss the museum in the old walled section of town it's exceptional if you like ancient archeology,one section dealt with the Lipari shipwrecks .... if not great coffee everywhere. We did a winter trip from Malta to Sicily and then Lipari ,Stromboli and the small pretty island just before Stromboli then on to Naples all by ferry

Nous avons passé 8 jours à Lipari dans cet hotel,fin octobre: Hotel un peu à l'écart du centre,donc très calme, à moins de 10 mn à pied du petit port. l'hotel est venu nous chercher au grand port et nous a raccompagné à la fin de notre séjour. grande chambre, bons lits, vue sur mer (un peu loin) pour la notre avec balcon spacieux. très bon accueil

hotel in splendida posizione

Il personale è molto gentile ,disponibile e qualificato. Deludente la camera:biancheria del letto e del bagno vecchia e di bassa fattura,box doccia rotto. Avevamo richiesto due letti singoli ci è stato dato un letto alla francese e un singolo sfondato per cui abbiamo dormito in due in quello alla francese. Colazione buona e abbondante ma anche qui per gli allergici al lattosio non c'è alternativa al latte vaccino inoltre i vassoi sono ricoperti con la pellicola trasparente ed è difficoltoso servirsi. Molto bello invece il balcone in camera con vista spettacolare sul mare e il solarium.

Just perfect!

We booked to stay at the Baia Portinenti as part of our honeymoon trip to the Aeolians and, although it seems a bit of a cliché to say it, every aspect of our trip was utterly fantastic. We couldn’t have asked for more. The staff at the hotel are absolutely exceptional - really kind, friendly and more than helpful. They made us feel totally at home, despite the fact that our Italian is practically non-existent, and really went out of their way to help make our trip hassle-free (which included helping us book excursions, check weather reports for Stromboli, use their internet for online check-in for our return journey and providing a free and reliable shuttle service on both arrival and departure). The hotel itself has a great atmosphere and bags of character too - our room was very spacious and the beautiful décor throughout was very warm and romantic. We also had a balcony with a view of the ocean where we could sit sipping local wine and watching the yachts in the little cove below - what a privilege! The free breakfast was a bonus and very handy for those heading out on tours - and the coffee and pastries are particularly good. The hotel is also only about a 5-10 minute stroll from all the main shops and restaurants in Lipari and both marinas, so perfectly situated and very convenient for anything you might want to do (unlike maybe Acquacalda or Canneto areas). Lovely hotel, lovely staff. Wholeheartedly recommended! Thank you Baia Portinenti for a very memorable stay.

Gutes hotel etwas abseits

in ca. 10 minute ist man zu Fuß am Hotell. Aber wenn man vorher dort anruft wird man auch abgeholt. Auberes und großes Zimmer hatten wir. Das Frühstück ist ok aber nicht überragend, der Kaffee super. sehr hoilfreiches Personla, teilweise englischsprachig. Für eine Woche ist das Hotell voll in Ordnung, aber es hat nur einen kleinen Whirlpool, was wir aber nicht benutzten.

Personlig och proffsig service

Det var svårt att hitta hotellet via gps. Vi ringde vid 10-tiden på kvällen och blev mycket proffsigt bemött. "Stanna där ni är, jag kommer och hämtar er" svarade värdinnan glatt. Servicen och bemötandet var perfekt. Rummet var stort med fin balkong och sjöglimt.

Stanze grandi, ottima pulizia, personale disponibile e affabile. Situato in una zona tranquilla, forse un po' lontana dal centro. Questo potrebbe essere un problema, perché il residence non ha il ristorante e quindi bisogna sempre uscire per mangiare, anche quando c'è maltempo. Colazione non molto ricca. Manca una piscina, c'è solo una Jacuzzi in giardino.

Ces iles se meritent (2 avions, 1.45 heure de car et 1 heure de bateau). Une fois arrivé, accueil tres chaleureux, hotel confortable. La patronne parle un peu Français. Situation légèrement excentrée mais les distances sont courtes. Les iles sont restées authentiques, les habitants très agréables

ok hotel, probably better in-season

Just to caveat this review, we stayed here in the 1st week of March which was somewhat out of season, the weather was a bit miserable and no-one else was staying in the hotel. The positives: the woman who ran the hotel was incredibly helpful and even offered to drop us to the port very early in the morning. The negatives: breakfast was limited, the room not particularly quiet - not really helped by the feuding cats outside in the middle of the night. Lipari itself is a fairly small town and it's quite easy to get around.
