Everything was perfect! David was a very welcoming host, even though we arrived after 9pm. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was comfortable and spacious and very clean with bottled water and amenities. David laid on the nicest breakfast of warm croissants, warm bread, cheeses, jams, yoghurt and honey, and also supplied is plenty of milk and cocoa for hot chocolate. The cats and dogs at the property are adorable and all in all, it was a very relaxed overnight stay. Merci, David et Cecile.
Lovely rustic farmhouse. We stayed in the large family room the looked like it would have been the barn with beams and eaves, up some narrow stairs.
The owner greeted us and was very friendly and approachable.
The room we stayed in had one sky light/window with a view of the garden when you looked out.
The bed was comfortable and the room was completely dark at night which helped us get some sleep.
There were a few coffee and chamomile tea, enough for 2 cups each.
The shower room was a good size, the shower can be set to your preferred temperature with good power. There were samples of shower gel were available to use as hand soap.
The breakfast room was down stairs and breakfast, though simple, was tasty with individual cheeses, jam, homemade yogurt and fresh bread/croissant. My daughter loved the yogurt so the owner gave her a bigger container the next morning.
The dogs live in the main house are friendly and the garden is available for children to use, these were a great joy for my children.
The owner is very knowledgeable about the area and history, we had suggestions of places to visit and recommendations for restaurants (although the children chose McDonald's, obviously)
The local town is beautiful, some great photo opportunities there and the local people were friendly.
The owner agreed to let us boil the kettle and make travel hot drinks before we left. He is conscious of over filling the kettle which is a positive for the environment and energy useage.
Large, clean room that suited our needs (an overnight stop) perfectly. The owners were welcoming, accommodating, providing an early breakfast, and passionate about relaying the history of their property and area. Would definitely stay again. Thank you.

A location with rustic charm, a friendly host and lovely breakfast.
Really friendly and welcoming b&b. Lots of local history and in a quiet location. A good stopover if travelling through Europe having left Calais (1hr away). Very clean large room with access to kitchen dining area and garden. Highly recommended.

Pas mal sans plus.
calme.
mieux qu'a l'hôtel mais c'est une affaire de gout.
Günstig, sauber, ruhige Lage und tolle Umgebung mitten in der "Campagne". Sehr freundlicher Besitzer, klasse Frühstück. Bequemes Bett. Was möchte man mehr. Auf jeden Fall komme ich nochmal wieder. 🤗
Semi rural location, free parking nearby, great introduction, well informed, easy to use kitchen, WiFi good, large room, comfortable, clean facilities, good bathroom, quiet, excellent breakfast, great host. Would return.

Disappointing
Looked great on arrival but the forbidding entrance made gaining access rather difficult. The car park is some distance from the property and we waited in the roadway for an answer to the doorbell...
A very steep stairway led to what I guess was an old hayloft, steaming hot with only a sigle small velux window for ventilation. The overwhelming decor of blood red walls and large red poppies was rather startling although I cannot fault the cleanliness. The ensuite bathroom was adequate. The in room kettle didn't work.
Although there was a notice on the exterior door indicating that dinner was offered on requesting it we were told that it was too late-we arrived at 5pm on the dot which was the earliest check-in time! There was no indication on the booking form that dinner was available or needed to be booked in advance. Very disappointing. We got the impression that they just couldn't be bothered.
Breakfast was offered from 8.30am and despite the online information offering it from 7am we were not offered this when we said that we had to leave earlier the next morning.
For the money it was okay but I would not recommend it for anything other than a bed for the night.
