"We stayed for a concert at the O2 rather than paying the stupid prices for the Excel situated properties (most of which need a lot of TLC) and we couldn't have been happier. Transport didn't take much longer than the Jubilee/DLR combo we usually use and the hotel was significantly nicer. Great staff, breakfast was excellent and the room very comfortable. "Hotel was in a good location, tube only a 15 min walk and close to arenas. This was probably the only good thing about the hotel, which is a complete let down as the pictures made it look lovely. The beds were so uncomfortable and mattress stained with what looked to be blood. Beds were cheap and could have collapsed at any point! "Very friendly staff in the pub when we checked in. Rooms are not huge but for a short stay they are perfect. Was a bit worried about noise when we booked it but no issues at all. Hackney is a great spot , loads of cafes nearby and good public transport. Will definitely come back again. Many tks, guests from Dublin"
