"We had a great experience at Saccharum. Property is very clean and well kept, the view from our ocean room was amazing. The staff was helpful and friendly, going out of their way to get us a correct power adapter as we had the incorrect one. The breakfast buffet was top tier, we looked forward to our first meal of the day. We enjoyed our drinks at the beach club, and the loungers were clean and comfortable. My wife said her spa appointment in the hotel was a highlight of our trip to Madeira."

"Overall, we had a great stay! The hotel was lovely and offered excellent amenities, including a pool, sauna, steam room, and an excellent breakfast buffet. The location was also great, and we really enjoyed how peaceful and uncrowded the hotel felt during what appeared to be the off-season. At times, it felt like we had the place to ourselves. "Great stay and right at start of PR19 trail..2300 steps down to ocean. Only challenge was parking..but it was available with a 8min walk."

"The room had a spectacular view of the sea, uninterrupted and it was was very comfortable, and immaculate. The host, Jorge was very warm and welcoming too. He was extremely helpful and responsive with all the requests we asked for. Altogether, an amazing place to be in at Calheta."

"Prima hotel. mooi centraal gelegen"

"Lovely accommodations, delicious food, and super helpful staff. One thing to note, if you are through hiking - make sure to check with reception what time the latest check-in time is beforehand, as they don't have 24/hr reception."

"Es ist eine traumhafte Kulisse, wenn man es mag, dass es ruhig und in der Natur ist. Wir haben es geliebt"

"Hébergement très propre, personnel aimable surtout Francisco à la réception. Bonne nourriture. Site un peu trop touristique mais c’est une appréciation personnelle."
