This was my second visit to this property and I will be back! Always such a wonderful stay at South Lake Chalet! The staff was incredibly responsive and genuinely kind, making everything feel easy and welcoming from start to finish. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. Plus, the location is perfect..just a short walk to the casino and nearby shopping. Highly recommend for a relaxing and convenient getaway!

South Lake Chalet is walking distance from Heavenly Ski Lift (and casinos if that's your thing); also to the beach and to hiking. Both times we've stayed here, the fireplace was lit and the room heated, a welcoming touch on a winter's day and after a long drive, The room is clean, has real dishes, glasses and utensils; microwave and sink. Dog friendly. We'll be back and recommend highly.

Booked a last minute trip and came across the South Lake Chalet. It’s located just a five minute walk to heavenly Village. Parking is right in front of your room and there is no extra charge which is a plus. The rooms seem to be newly renovated and were very clean and comfortable. Check-in was extremely easy and I received my door code the day before. Staff responded to any questions promptly through text or email. I will definitely be back.

We love this place and call it our secret hideaway. It has a fireplace, is well appointed with dishes, sink, microwave and mini fridge with freezer; assigned parking is a bonus And dogs are welcome. Super easy automatic check-in and out, walking distance to the beach, walking and hiking trails, a ciffee shop, Mexican food take-out and Heavenly Gondola. Shhh.. don't tell anyone. We wish to keep this place all to ourselves.
