A wonderful hotel in a beautiful location on the shore of Lake Lucerne. Room was well equipped, spacious and clean with stunning views over the lake. Staff were polite and very helpful. Excellent dining options available both in the hotel and within walking distance.

One couldn’t hope for a better hotel in Lucerne! From the huge room with giant windows and Juliette balconies overlooking the lake, to the incredible architecture of the building, the modern spacious bathroom, and the incredible service and hospitality of the staff, this property is 10/10 in every way. Beautiful building perfect location. It is an expensive hotel so we expected a bit more. Seemed like for a 5 star Luxury hotel, the hotel was understaffed. There was no one to assist with bags up the cobbled flight of front stairs either on arrival or departure. The hotel bar was understaffed on a Saturday evening. The poor bartender got called outside to do a “wine service.” He had to leave the bar unattended and there was no support staff- the bar was filled with used barware and tables had used dishes on them. We waited 25 minutes for his assistant to come in. The poor assistant didn’t know where to find a bottle opener. Several guests just gave up and left. This is certainly not the staff’s fault. I point these things out because for the price of this hotel, they should do better. In sum, while the property is lovely and the room nicely appointed, the service is not close to 5 star.

I would not recommend this hotel. While it possesses a favorable location, the quality of the food at 3 of the 4 restaurants has been unsatisfactory, the pricing is excessively high, and the service standards are significantly below average. The hotel itself has not been properly maintained and appears to be deteriorating.

Reception (didnt take down her name) was marvellous. We got upgraded to a lake view room, we didnt mention it was our anniversary. Prosseco was offered at check in, what a treat. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back again. Views to the mountains and lake were breathtaking from our balcony.
