I've stayed in agroturismos in Italy, and this was a very similar experience, complete with the fabulous food. I'm pretty sure Italy doesn't offer swimming by yourself in a mountain stream surrounded by the echoes of howler monkeys. "

"Amazing is an understatement. The hosts were very gracious, attentive, pleasant, informative, & over all the best host we have ever had the pleasure of staying with. The bungalow was very clean, bed was comfy and firm & necessary toiletries were provided & up kept. Even with no AC it got so cold at night that it wasn’t needed. "We were looking for an “off-tourist” spot since we flew in from nyc and were driving up to La fortuna. This was an absolute gem. Plenty space for kids to run/play, hot springs, gorgeous river stream. We only had one morning, but would’ve easily stayed for a couple nights if we didn’t have our next stop scheduled! Totally recommend this place - be prepared as this is more like a high-end “glamping”. Plenty beds and sleeping accommodations. Very respectful and accommodating staff. "
