"It has a great location. You can walk to the village. Nice restaurants nearby. Alot of art galleries nearby also. Easy walking distance to the beach and Heisler park. The beds were good with alot of pillows. The room was clean and quite usable. I do recommend the Tides "

"Our room was reserved for ocean view. Upon arrival the manager at the front desk gave us a room looking into the courtyard. I went back to ask about the slight and he said that room is what we booked and Expedia was wrong in their description. After, a back and forth he finally gave us a room that had an ocean view. I’m going to state here that you tend to get what you pay for. Small room, oversized furniture that makes it even smaller. Hotel has spruced itself up overtime it seems but still feels tired and could use a little deferred maintenance. Location not so bad. Healthy walk into the village. "

"Dirty room, dirty floors, bathroom not ok. no view, work on a new building rigth next to thus hotel. This hotel could be ok if it cost 50 dollars and the guests are young and staying outside until late, and just need to crash o few hours. "

"Room was clean and spacious, but it was a adjacent to the street and there was significant noise. We paid extra for a suite with a fireplace, but the fireplace didn't work. When I asked staff about it, they said something about the fireplaces being disabled in warmer months. It was February, and it the weather was cold and wet. WiFi was horrible, basically unusable for even email."

"Everything was so great in this hotel. Top to bottom, the service, cleanliness, hospitality, friendly, comfortable bed, everything you can name it as a five star hotel. We have been travel around the world and have stay in multiple big end hotels, but this one is way too underrated. We would definitely go back again! Thank you for the wonderful memories this hotel brings to me and my family ! "

"Cute newly refurbished hotel. Fun cool design. Great central location. Friendly staff. Thoughtful touches like beach amenities, wine, cookies. Expensive parking which we did not utilize. Coastal rooms were large and away from street noise. I will stay here again."

"We had an excellent stay at Laguna Surf Lodge. We wish we could give over 5 stars! Staff is extremely friendly and always willing to lend a helping hand whenever needed. Valet parking is super accommodating and the room is spectacular! We really enjoyed the space and the wonderful view of the ocean from their fire pit area. We are already talking about coming back here soon! We look forward to returning!"
