"We had very short stay. The hotel is typical for other ibis budget hotels."

"Stayed for 2 nights. Rooms were not cleaned during the day. We had booked a room for 3 people so a spare bed was added to the room. No extra pillow are toweös though. Bedlinen had holes. Breakfast was very basic. Many tables were not clean and staff were nowhere to be seen. Staff at the reception were very friendly. "

"I have stayed at the Van der Valk a few times and have always enjoyed my stay. Unfortunately on this occasion I was extremely disappointed; a flushing toilet & hot breakfast are minimum requirements. "

"Once you understand that this is a rustic classical hotel with an Old Farmhouse feel you can relax and enjoy the experience , a modern trendy place this is not. It does have a fridge and kettle in the room , the hot water in the bathroom takes an age to arrive but is fine once it does. As mentioned in other reviews the floorboards creak and it was nessesary to leave the wardrobe door ajar to prevent it creaking when someone passes the room . Its rustic and charming in its own way. "
