We were met by our host Eric who was very welcoming and explained this wasn’t an issue for him due to the previous guests leaving early that morning. "I tried to cancel a good 20 days before. I got no reply from the char (even though they say they respond typically in a day), I then emailed and got nothing back. Very uoset as I had to cancel due to a family member and to them be asked how my check in was just added to the upset. Disgusting "

"There was a calm, genteel feel to the hotel and grounds, a sense of grandeur past. The staff were helpful and polite. The grounds were lovely and we enjoyed having a leisurely breakfast in the gardens.
It would have been good to have some help taking heavy bags up the stone stairs as there did not seem to be a lift/elevator."
"The ”& Spa” is a bit of a scam. Apparently the spa area is so small that you have to book well in advance. I booked the hotel for one night for the sole reason to be able to use the spa on arrival. We came on a beginning of December Sunday afternoon with nearly nobody at the hotel, but still got the news that we could not use the spa as it was ”fully booked for the whole evening”."
"Le prix d’hôtel.com n’ai pas le prix final vous devrez vous acquitter de 10€ par jour pour le chauffage et 10€ par jour pour le parking et prévoyez 50€ de caution le tout en liquide !!! Pour ma part 90€ pour 2 jours, pour la caution rien à dire elle me fut restituée dès mon départ.Le propriétaire est malgré cela très avenant.. "
