Mediocre experience at Bali Summer Hotel
Room a little run down, power point beside bed not working. Only one power point to run fridge and kettle, had to unplug fridge to boil kettle. Hotel did not arrange transport from airport even after 3 emails requesting they arrange. Also did not change to ground floor unit when asked by email and had to spend 10 minutes at check in arguing about it.

The central location and the courtyard grounds of the hotel are great. Easy access to all of the main areas and the beach, as well as eateries and bars. The rooms leave much to be desired. This hotel opened in 1990 and you can see it has not been updated since then. Our initial room had a shower over a bath, and the water would become lukewarm only after the water running for at least 10 minutes. Then, the bath would fill up whilst you were using the shower (no, there was no plug in there) and it took a long time to drain. One day, we had come back to see that our room hadn’t been cleaned (and we had been gone on a day tour since 8am) and the bath was in a state, so we asked to move rooms because of the shower situation. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and moved us to the room directly next door, even offering to help us move our things. The next room had a walk in shower, but even the glass on this looks as though it hadn’t been properly cleaned/descaled in a long time. In general, the whole place is just very rundown and a bit grubby. In addition, the towels all stink of smoke (even after having them changed) and the bedsheets are all stained with what looks like old blood and I’m unsure what else. There’s also limited power points in the rooms so you may want to consider an extension lead. The staff were great and any time we asked for help (moving rooms, booking a taxi, extending our checkout) they were very helpful and informative.

やや古いホテルだが、ダウンタウンのど真ん中にあって便利だし、ビーチには200mほどと近く、ロビー前の中庭にはプールもあってリゾートライフを楽しむには良い感じ！ビーチへの途中には24時間営業のコンビニがあり、歩いて行ける距離にこれも24時間営業のスーパーもあって買い物には便利。ベランダ付きの部屋も多くて、朝ごはんも美味しく、料金の割には楽しい滞在が可能！

When traveling with medium to large luggage, especially as a solo female traveler like myself, using stairs can be inconvenient due to the absence of an elevator. Seeking assistance from the staff is an option. However, in my room, I encountered difficulty unlocking the door using the key provided by the employee, possibly due to the hotel's age and antique decor. Despite this, I appreciate the charm of the vintage design that I deliberately chose. The bed and mattress were comfortable, clean and the bathroom met my basic needs. The hotel's location is convenient for walking, with close proximity to restaurants, shopping, and entertainment venues. The night shift staff I encountered were helpful, though communication required some effort due to language barriers. Being Asian myself, I understand and appreciate the challenge of conversing in a non-native language. The morning staff was helpful.

Read well but disappointing.
Hotel is in a good location. It is neat and tidy with a great outlook from the balcony. The room I was in was looking tired. There were marks on the walls, the linen and towels had seen better days, they were clean but marked in places. The most disappointing aspect was the bathroom. The water was difficult to manage the temperature, it came through very hot and then trying to adjust it with cold using the mixer it went cold and then back hot again. Needed to spend 5 minutes adjusting until I could get a reasonable temperature, by this stage the water flow out of the rain shower head was minimal. The shower curtain had seen better days also. The other issue I had was that rooms were not serviced daily, the longest I went without the room being cleaned was 4 days.

アリがたくさんいます。部屋の中も汚れてるところが多いです。ユニットバスも古いせいなのかかなり汚れてます。シャワーの水圧もかなり弱いです。またドライヤーをするとブレーカーが落ちてドライヤーを使えませんでした。

1人で利用。リノベーションをしていたため、老舗のホテルですが綺麗でした。 セーフティBOXは無く、昔ながらのフロントのBOXに預けるタイプ。 ドライヤーも貸し出しはありませんでした。 場所はどこへ行くにも便利な場所。雨が降ったので傘をさしてマタハリデパートをウロウロ、出たら雨があがっていたのでちょっとビーチを散策。 通り沿いですが奥まった部屋だったので静かに過ごせました。 バスタブが無くシャワーのみでしたが、バリでよくありがちなシャワーの温度調整が難しく、苦戦していました。それがなければ大満足です。

First, I requested a room with a bathtub and was told “no we don’t have any in this hotel” even though it’s pictured. Second, all the sheets were stained, there was no fitted sheet on the bed and there was writing on the wall. Third, I did not feel safe at all, it’s super sketchy As a young girl traveling alone, I would not recommend going here.

The shower situation was a bit dangerous in that the hot water came out scalding and took at least five minutes before I could work with it to get it to a suitable temperature. Because I arrived at the Hotel after a very busy day and really needed a shower- I was too tired to mess with it and just went to bed. I asked them about it the next day and I guess that’s how the system works. I feel there should be some kind of warning and maybe instructions about it. Other than that everything else was good.

Not even worth the cheap price. The only good thing I can say about this property is the location. When we arrived there was no record of our booking . Finally got into the room and the bathroom was hideous. Extreme mould , stained towels and bed sheets, the bed head looked like it had been dragged out from a crime scene. The pool bar- well that was just empty shelves and not even in operation. Breakfast buffet? not sure a choice of either eggs, toast or rice is considered a buffet?

The hotel is in a really great area it’s about 5 minutes to the beach and lots of bars and restaurants around. The room was ok but the bathroom really needed work done it just did not look like a bathroom I’d want to use. Also when I arrived the room walls had some not so great looking stains on it. It wasn’t a bad hotel but lower your expectations from the photos of the rooms provided because mine was pretty different from what was shown. I’d still stay again though

We had the newer room & nothing to complain about. You get what you pay for. The pool area was ok but Sun chairs needed renewing & pool bar advertised was non-existent. If you like night life there is a different band at the bar every night.

This hotel should have maintain the Bathroom Facility. We stayed on 3rd floor, not enough pressure of water to take bath. Bathtub was very old and rusted.

I found the hotel in a great location to everything. The first couple of day I felt the place was a bit run down and had problems with my room ( smelly, shower didn’t work and room I booked wasn’t ready when I got there. The staff were great and got everything sorted and changed rooms for so by the end if was nice.

Location
Very cheap room to leave bags, have a nap and shower for half a day before flying out. Excellent location in the heart of Kuta close to the airport for a final afternoon in Bali. Bathroom not the greatest condition, tv fuzzy with limited channels and wifi kept dropping in and out - but can’t ask for much more with the price paid!

Had to change rooms immediately - cupboard was full of roaches and dust, toilet & fridge didn't work.. changed rooms - shower had to run around in to get wet - showered daily with roaches, room was cleaned daily, bathroom floor mat was left for the entire 9 day stay. Staff are very friendly - If you want more than 1 pillow - goodluck

not a good place to stay...
I arrive at the hotel and after waiting 15-20 min ( front desk agent was asleep in the back office) I was advised no record of my reservation. I sent them the hotels.com confirmation via email and i was given a very outdated room with 2 single beds (after paying extra for deluxe room}. Next evening I saw a cockroach in my room, I went to front desk to complain and they put me into a nicer room on 3rd floor.. few minutes later saw a cockroach in this room.. I called to complain and they sent some guy up to see if he can see it.. The aircon (air conditioner) is so outdated it doesnt blow any cool air into the room only if you stand directly underneath of it.. When they cleaned the room i recieved "fresh towels: one towel was stained... I also discovered when they clean the room they do not change the bedding.. makes me wonder if they do in between guests. The mini fridge wouldnt close so all the ice was melting all over the floor.... One night i went for food late night and the front desk agent was asking me who i was and why i would leave the hotel so late at night..

Good buffet breakfast with egg station, good WiFi, good service, clean pool, great restaurant with Band at night, quite and clean room, rain shower and deep bath tub. The gardens are immaculate and the fish ponds are beautiful. The Hotel is a short walk to Kuta's shopping centre, 250 meters to the beach and nightlife.This is the third time we have stayed here. Request a Modern Deluxe Garden Room.Check-in was easy and quick.

Great Hotel close to everything in Kuta
Solo traveler. Just needed somewhere close to the main area of Kuta and the beach. I have stayed at many hotels in Bali from 5 star to 2 star. The summer was very good value for the price. I got a renovated ground floor room which was really roomy and updated. The reception and restaurant/bar are at the front of the property shielding the rooms from the busy road. The pool is small but nice and warm, not freezing when you jump in. The pool is behind the restaurant but far away from the rooms to not notice people swimming. So the accomodation is in a U shape 3 stories high. In between the two sides of the building there are some awesome koi ponds very relaxing. There is no safe in your room but you can store your valuables in a lock box at reception. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Many many good restaurants everywhere around the summer. Hardly need a taxi for anything. One little disappointment was the breakfast. As others have said, you can have eggs cooked as you please, I had an omelette each morning with some toast. Orange juice and coffee were there and also a couple of Asian dishes and some fresh fruit. Enough to get you by. Plenty of great massage places everywhere and local market stalls. Short walk to waterbom park and discovery shopping centre. I did have an issue I booked what I thought was the upgraded ground floor deluxe but on arrival I was on the unrenovated side. I asked to be put on the renovated side. It cost me an extra$100 Australian for 11 nights

We initially stayed in the standard rooms, however I would not recommend this and to rather upgrade to the deluxe rooms which are on the left side of the hotel that has been renovated. The rooms have been renovated well and are very spacious - however the cleaning staff need to do a better job as the walls are getting dirty, the shower curtains need to be kept clean and replaced regularly. A bit of bleach down the toilets would be great.. The location is fabulous and the staff are great. They happily stored luggage for us while we were away for a few days. Thank you! The buffet breakfast is changed up a bit every morning - you can have eggs any style made at the egg station. Then of course a rice or noodle or vegetable dish, fruit dish and juices. It was enjoyable. The pool is nice - it is a shame that the pool bar is not in operation with some light music as this would certainly add to the atmosphere. Perhaps it was because the hotel was not fully booked. But overall good value for money!

Rooms are not so good.
The rooms are pretty old. The bathroom is not so clean like toilet bowl has noticeable stains and the bathtub is a bit rusty. They only have gew choices of breakfast foods on their restaurant. Television did not work after few days of our stay.
