"It is totally new property, the desing and concept is very nice. Mostly local tourism for now, absolutely stunning views and the confort rooms, since they have hot springs or hot baths is very attractive spot for families, which they were a lot with small kids everywhere, so if you want quiet and piece this won't be the place I guess."

"Standard APA hotel. Convenient location in the Tenmonkan area. When I arrived I was very tired after a long drive and the staff made check in a little harder than it needed to be. I was able to park my motorcycle out the front of the hotel for 500 yen a night which was convenient and reasonable. "

A three meter high tori gate on Sakurajima was completely buried by ash and pumice stone during a volcanic eruption which occurred in 1914. Rediscovered by builders doing excavation work while building a new school, it was left partially buried as a memorial. Lava flows from the same eruption joined the then island of Sakurajima to Kyushu.
