  • The Matang Magrove Reserve is an awesome place to visit. There are boardwalks that go through the park for your enjoyment. I think we paid around 10 ringgit (<3 USD) to get into the park . There are river cruises you can take in search of rare freshwater dolphins but we did not have time to do that. Super awesome place to see that has very few foreign visitors.

Charming hotel

I loved the look of the hotel, it was very artsy. The rooms and hallways were hand painted & signed by the artist. Theres a working fish export business downstairs & a seafood restaurant upstairs. It's got a lot going on but it still feels quiet. The fish boats something operate during the night, so it can get a little noisy and smelly but that's living & working in a fishing village. The bed was firm but comfy and I had a great view of the lake and could watch the fishermen work from my balcony. The one lady on staff during my stay was fabulous; kind, friendly and super helpful. There's not a lot of english spoken in the area, even compared to Taiping.

Room with sunset view , great exploration surrounding and restaurant just downstairs. Just that need to walk three floors up and not suitable to bring young children cause quite dangerous to walk up three floors.

There was no one at the reception when we arrived. Need to call the person in charge for check in then they will come to attend you. The room and environment are good.

Sound proofing 1* If u choose a balcony, like us.... Be prepared for no sleep. Sound from boats' engines will wake you as early as 4am and this goes on non stop. But the plus points more than outway the sound problem. Decor 4* Linen 4* Cleanliness 4* Location is superb. 5* Everything u wanna do at Kuala Sepetang is nearby.

The hotel is most artsy meaning it's decorated like a boutique hotel, very creative & pleasant. It's right by the riverside & the view is a sight to behold. Departure jetty points are closeby. Restaurants are plenty with one Chinese food restaurant right in the hotel itself. There are many things to like about this hotel. Perhaps a night staff on duty might help. Parking spaces for cars are limited.

櫃台只有早上11點到晚上7點才有服務人員，訂了有早餐的房型，早上到餐廳完全沒人。退房時，還要等到服務人員來上班才找得到人，尋問了櫃台人員，我訂房是有預定早餐的，為什麼餐廳沒早餐？服務人員很不耐煩的回答說，我們是沒早餐的，如果有問題請你自己問Hotels.com 。快三千台幣一晚的價格，這樣的房間和服務完全不值得

Many people think the fish smell is off-putting but the fish is fresh fish smell to me, not like those supermarket fishy smell and not stale fish smell so I’m alright with it. Water provided is their own boiled water, so if you prefer, buy your own bottled water. Breakfast is simple sandwich but it’s good enough for us.

We arrived late (730pm) & staff were no longer there (check in till 7pm). But they return back again at 845pm to assist us for the late check in. Room (sea view) is clean & tidy. Poor isolation for noise & smell. You wont have a good night sleep as due to boating noise from the sea. Smell of smog from nearby charcoal factory leaks into the room.

Hi, I was visiting Sepetang for the 1st time with my family earlier (14&15th of July), and stayed at your hotel for a night. While we were really mesmerized by the design of you hotel, we were disappointed by some of the events that happened during our stay. 1) Water disruption on 15th of July which lasted till we checked out causing inconveniences (can't take bath, can't flush the toilet etc) 2) Our package was suppose to come with breakfast but there were none. 3) The access card quality is bad (very thin), when we accidentally break it, we were asked to pay RM50. The replacement card given were the thicker one. 4) Room WIFI is not working, there were signal but we were unable to access (error : access unauthorized). These were some setbacks to an otherwise nice, relaxing holiday.

Exactly in the middle of the village

Rooms were clean and proper. Design was unique as well. Would be even more satisfied if noise filtering was better. I can literally hear the a lot of noises. The hotel has no elevator therefore, if it is inconvenient for you to climb the stairs, then this is not the place to go to. The steps up to the hotel rooms were uneven as well (small & big steps when alighting through 1st floor) therefore causing inconvenience to old people to climb those stairs
