"Basic lodging that met the needs of our party of 7. We were in building 53 (upstairs) and there is no real lounging space but the bedrooms are spacious. Basic soap provided and some tea/coffee. Beds were comfortable but as others have mentioned the floors can be loud but slippers are provided to help the noise. The building is close to the main area where shops and restaurants are so definitely loud at times…earplugs can help."

"Great location, on busy pedestrian street with all amenities close by, yet quiet and peaceful inside the apartment. There was a leak in the bathroom but the hosts got it fixed quickly and communicated promptly and efficiently in a friendly manner, even though it was a weekend. Would definitely stay again."

"Nice clean facility but minimum cheap furniture. No desk or drawers to keep things and bathroom sink did not have any counter space to put even tooth brush or tooth paste. Some counter space in bathroom would have made daily routine little easier. Bathroom glass door was not a good idea and shower needed some glass wall to prevent splashes and that would have made maintenance staff work easier too."

"The main problem I had with this stay was the strong rotten egg smell from the water. Apparently it is normal in Iceland however all my other stays did not have this problem. It was so strong it made the room smell even after I left and came back. Location is good but definitely better options nearby. It got the job done and the staff was friendly. It had beautiful in indirect ambient lighting l e d. It was modern and clean and I had the use of a kitchen in my room which saved me a lot of money from eating out in iceland. "Pleasant hotel although expensive - as is everythingin Reykjavik. Fantastic location, very central, nice staff, very good buffet breakfast. We had an oversized room which was well worth it. Room was stuffy and warm - no forced air circulation. We kept window open which lowered room temperature from 25 to 23 degrees both nights, still on the warm side. Suggest housekeeping open window to air out room between guests. On the plus side, no noise even with window open since looked out on an internal...
