This is an unpretentious, relaxed place to stay. It's not a 5-star establishment, but it isn't pretending to be, and the owners, Chris & Selina, go out of their way to look after their guests. The location is excellent.

The property is in a good area but I got a sea view room and there are no really sea view rooms although it’s in front of the ocean you can barely see it. There was also a construction happening right in front of the property so my view was obstructed by a huge tractor that was quite noisy. The room was somewhat clean but I tried to close the curtains just to realize how moldy it was and I gave up. The staff was excellent tho and they were super friendly and helpful.

The property is not as advertised. Beach is a construction zone, rooms are unpleasant (poor condition, dirty), appears that rooms are being rented to long term locals as well and we didn’t see any other tourists. We weren’t expecting much, but this was way below my lowest expectations. I felt sorry for the staff, who were kind, but that were clearly not trained for this. We couldn’t stay because the conditions were so bad so we walked away from our full payment (non-refundable) and found a beautiful place up the road for not a lot more money. In the end, this is false advertising and there is zero chance this could be a 8.6 out of 10 - not sure how this is possible on Expedia unless something dramatic has changed lately. Major disappointment to say the least. Don’t stay here if you are looking for a waterfront holiday - this is not that place.

Slechte prijs-kwaliteit verhouding

Accommodatie slechte oude staat. Personeel doet erg z’n best maar kan niet meer doen dan ze deden. Locatie perfect. Tijdens ons verblijf lekte de airco op ons kussen. Na reparatie weer. Mijn vrouw zakte door de stoel bij zitje voor het huisje. Door achterstallig onderhoud is veel in slechte staat. Zoals gezegd personeel is vriendelijk en doet z’n best. Ik heb geen voorstel ontvangen voor compensatie. Accommodatie voor €100 per dag past niet bij prijs-kwaliteit verhouding. We zijn 3 dagen geweest.

Lovely hotel, staff are so helpful nothing was too much trouble. There is a fridge in the room which it helpful. The rooms and area were kept very clean. There is no food at the moment but great little place called the hut opposite. Which is cheaper than the main strip. There is a great night market Monday Wednesday Friday starts at 5 pm worth a visit

My NEW favorite place on earth:)

I booked this hotel as a one night stay as I was heading over to Koh Phanagan for 5 nights. Well after a wonderful day at The Waterfront I took my ferry over to new island only to return a day later and stayed an additional 4 nights at The Waterfront. This is the place for me....a wonderful location, great people, sparkling clean rooms. I loved the beach and the pool.....you are actually in the heart of things but don't feel it. It is obviously a great price but to me priceless!!!! Thanks everyone for making me feel safe, welcome and see you next year!!!!

Wee gem of a property on the beach

Beautiful little place right on the beach. So peaceful and has the most stunning view from property. Room had all we needed and bed was comfortable. Air conditioning worked great. Shower was good and powerful. In a great location in Fisherman’s Village - So many restaurants within a few minutes walk. Would highly recommend.

The description of the hotel and the facilities were incorrect and had we have known we would have stayed somewhere else. No food facilities, no running water for three days meant no showers and unable to use the toilet, curtains were not blackout and ac was very noisy meant no sleep some nights, passports and money were locked in the safe and unable to be retrieved using the passcode, no work desk as mentioned, no mention of needing travel adapters on description of hotel …

Well not totally unexpected from this lady(sorry anonymous reviewer). Funny how all the below reviewers since covid started gave us maximum point(probably a bit high but that appreciate what covid had done to us). Let me just answer one blatant untruth.at 8pm we had a water problem as the filter had broken although some rooms had water. The next day we had an expert in and by midday we had by passed the filter and water was available. Actually some rooms were affected more than others. To say 3 days is absolutely ridiculous. I guess the lady(sorry anonymous reviewer was affected more than others. I can't be bothered to answer the lady's(sory anonmyous reviewer) other moans, Except to say we got the blame for her messing up a simple safe. The next review down which gave us 10 out of 10 and was staying at the same time as the lady( anonomysus reviewer) why didn't she notice all the problems. I think choosing to remain anonomysus say's a lot!

Excellent location with great beach and views. Bungalows were clean and plenty of room. Staff was excellent, friendly and helpful. This is a great little hotel to stay at with close proximity to restaurants and bars. No need for taxi or transportation, you can walk. It does need to care as things are getting old but I did enjoy my stay.

The Waterfront bietet für seine Kategorie ein ausgezeichnetes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis. Der gebuchte Familienbungalow bot mit zwei Schlafzimmern und einem Wohnzimmer viel Platz für uns drei Personen. Die Zimmer waren wie die gesamte Anlage stets sauber und gepflegt. Das sehr freundliche Personal war mit Freude an der Arbeit und sorgte für eine entspannte und heitere Stimmung. Die Küche ergänzte den positiven Eindruck mit dem Frühstück und dem stets frisch zubereitetem Mittagessen. Hervorzuheben ist auch die gute Lage zwischen dem Strand und Fisherman's Village, dem touristischen Mittelpunkt von Bophut mit seinen Läden, Bars und Restaurants.

Great location near shops and beach

Lovely hotel right on the beach with a great pool area. Only a small resort so you don’t feel like you’re fighting for a space anywhere. Breakfast was lovely and the girl at reception couldn’t have been any kinder. Free airport shuttle is a fantastic bonus and the property is right in town, close to shops and restaurants.

What a waterfront stay

Staff was very helpful. Breakfast was good. Best bacon and scrambled egg on the island. The owner Robin very caring about his customers. We had a late ferry out, he checked and said the room was ours until we left. They did washing for us all came back lovely delivered to our room pay later. The touches Robin and his wife Sue did to make you welcome and comfortable was lovey, they even give you a small carton of milk daily for your tea in your room and plenty of water. They had bikes, a canoe children’s buckets and spades for free. Nothing was too much trouble. The staff was smart and lovely. We would definitely stay again. In your room he put a book together of how he and Sue came there and every bar restaurant and coffee shop that was worth a visit. He put us in touch with travel agents who did a great job of booking us an over night train to Kho lak.

Great and cozy hotel in samui

We were fully satisfied with this hotel. Rooms are clean and cozy. The hotel area is so beautiful and they have both beach and the pool. At night time the yard is light up with lights and it's so pretty! The service is great and girls working at front desk will make you feel welcomed and they're really helpful. There is also a great restaurant right outside the hotel, only under 10 meters from hotel enterance, we ate there every day and didn't even feel the need to go anywhere else. We had a most beautiful view to the ocean right from our bedroom. We are definetly coming back to this hotel when in koh samui!

Excellent staff, fabulous location

Absolutely lovely stay here whilst visiting Koh Samui. The staff at the waterfront are exceptional, really go above and beyond for any of your needs. It has a lovely friendly appeal. Not quite luxurious as the rooms could do with updating but comfortable and homely. The location was excellent. Quiet end of Fisherman’s Village with lots of shops, restaurants and street food nearby. The Friday night market is amazing! Staff are very informative about getting round the island and local events. We hired a moped through reception and even went out on the push bikes!

Ottimo per relax

Simpatica struttura con poche camere ma dotate di ogni confort. Staff molto cordiale e disponibile. Buona la colazione con scelta di piatti caldi fatti al momento. Buono il wi-fi. La piscina non è di grandi dimensioni ma torna molto utile al rientro dalle escursioni. Posizione tranquilla a 10 min a piedi dalla zona ricca di ristorantini, negozi e locali. Sicuramente una struttura da consigliare.

Intimt og OK hotell

De ansatte verken nikker eller bukker like mye som ellers i Thailand, men det gjør ingenting. Spesielt en ansatt var den søteste og mest hyggelige damen jeg har møtt, for et fantastisk menneske! Man ser at hotellet er brukt men alt i alt i god tilstand. Det står kun frukt fremme til frokost, så må du bestille fra en meny. Menyen var stort sett basert på diverse varianter av egg og kan nok bli kjedelig i lengden. Koselig lite hotell, tror vi talte 13-14 rom. Noe negativt var at bassenget ikke ble rengjort ofte nok, og sanden/plenen der solsengen er burde vært raket slik at man slipper å tråkke på kvister og øvrig nedfall fra trærne. I tillegg burde de ansatte tørke av solsenger og tilhørende bord. Wi-fi var litt tregt. WiMen alt i alt hadde vi et fint opphold, ikke forvent 4 stjerners hotell når du bestiller 3-stjerners. Det er ikke noe særlig å bade i sjøen like nedenfor hotellet, men et par hundre meter til venstre er det helt OK. Rimelig priset (i mai) så vi bor gjerne der igjen. Rolige omgivelser.
