"The resort is Beautiful and big . You will always need shuttles to your room. The staff is amazing . It’s at begging of Patong so you will walk down hill in traffic About 3 min to beach. My room .!!!! Amazing view with jet tub Thai style deco and big and spacious 7th fl Issues. 5 star hotel but , Shower cold water , jacuzzi had nice hot water .!! There’s a big carpet under bed Very dirty and looks bad in such a nice room I complained to front but all they said was thank you will tell mgr . And advice housekeeping… I don’t think she’s responsible for dirty shag carpet or cold water…"

Hotel Riu Palace Phuket - All Inclusive
"It is absolutely amazing and beautiful with best possible service; we really enjoyed. It is super clean and staff are very friendly and the food is great. There is life music every night but I hope they will add some music for dance. People love to move and dance in vacations like this. Even though the singers were great but mostly with country songs and etc. we will strongly recommend Riu Palace Phuket, with one exception that the hotel is very far from the centre if you are going to the town and want to discover more there are no buses so you should get the Grab app like taxi to use it. In this case you should budget for taxi expenses which will add up. We wish if Riu would have a scheduled mini buses with little charge to their hotel guests few times a week with fixed pickup and drop off schedule. This is just a suggestion as we experienced that in the Philippines with hotel shuttle to the town and back to the hotel in certain times of the day. Many many thanks Riu palace Phuket for everything you offered us. ❤️♥️"

Pocket Guide: Ko Yao Yai
Ko Yao Yai may be the larger and more populated of Thailand's two Ko Yao islands, but it is still less developed than its neighbour, Ko Yao Noi. Even though over a dozen guesthouses and resorts have now popped up on Ko Yao Yai, farming and fishing still rank far above tourism in the ways the friendly locals earn their living. Rubber plantations, coconut groves, and villages filled with stilted wooden homes are the dominant scenes along the smooth main road.
Don’t MissLike its neighbour, Ko Yao Noi, motorcycling and beach-hopping are Ko Yao Yai's two main attractions.
During low tide, the calm and shallow bays next to most of the island's narrow beaches of white sand turn into mud flats. Loh Paret, a beach on the island's west coast, offers superb swimming all day long and spectacular sunsets. Some beaches also allow snorkelling.
A steep path through a rubber tree plantation between the piers of Klong Hia and Chong Lad leads to the Ko Yao viewpoint, which offers the best views of the entire island. Local operators also offer private mangrove and karst island kayaking excursions. A jet-ski operation has recently been added next to ATV off-roading, agricultural tours, and fishing excursions on Ko Yao Yai's growing list of outdoor activities.
Restaurants and BarsMost Ko Yao Yai eating and drinking opportunities are located in the island's resorts. Aside from a coffee bar which serves Italian and American food, freshly caught seafood and traditional Thai cuisine are the most common menu items. A single liquor store recently opened close to Chong Lad village.
ShoppingThere is only one major shop on the island of Ko Yao Yai, and a handful of other places to shop in neighbouring Ko Yao Noi.
