  • This is a lovely beach to relax and swim at. Kantiang beach is definitely one of the cleanest beaches that we have seen in Thailand. We were fortunate enough to see why the beach was so clean. The local workers from the Pimalai Resort and Spa spent sometime from work cleaning up the beach. I wish other locals and hotels would do the same to help the pollution issues that the beaches and seas are facing here in Thailand as well as around the world. It also looked like a great team building experience. You can find this beach on the way to the Southern most point of Ko Lanta.

Nach erster Nacht Flucht ergriffen

Hotel war für eine Woche gebucht, nach der ersten und schlaflosen Nacht habe ich die Flucht ergriffen. Beim ersten Augenschein viel sofort der Müll der vor-Gäste auf, der nicht aus den Mülleimern und dem Bad entfernt wurde, Staubschicht auf ebenen Flächen, Bad (nicht) richtig gereinigt- hatte den Eindruck, dass außer frischen Bettbezügen nichts an roomkeeping erfolgte. Keinerlei Kleiderbügel oder Haken um Zimmer vorhanden. Schlösser der Balkon- und Eingangstür defekt, Zimmer konnte nicht von innen verschlossen werden. Habe einen Besen zweckentfremden müssen. Hülle von geschlüpften Insekten (sah für mich verdächtig nach Bettwanze aus) am Nachtschränkchen. Spinne im Bett, Spinnennest am Vorhang. Fenster im Bad war nur ein Rahmen mit Klappe und war nicht mit Moskitonetz geschützt, daher ziemlich viele Stechmücken im Zimmer. Wie beschrieben war die Lage ruhig mit netter Aussicht und das Zimmer groß. Moschee in der Nähe, wer leichten Schlaf hat wird ggf. durch den Ruf zum Morgengebet geweckt.
