"The property was nice but felt like any little “extra” came at a cost. Hot Tub? You had to pay per person for 30 minutes. Have not seen that before. No laundry facilities as advertised and cake in drawing room was added to invoice on check out. Nice property but be aware of extras. "

"We loved our two nights stay at Melfort House. It was peaceful idyll that restored us somewhat as we were nearing the end of our road trip through Scotland. Matthew is a wonderful host, and we felt welcome in his home. The breakfast offerings were top notch, and our room and bed were so comfortable. "Great B&B . Everything we needed for an overnight stay in Oban before heading to the ferry to Mull .Very convenient and good fitness waking up the hill to the property . Taxi if not inclined to walk up hills . Really nice touch to have the breakfast cereals , juice and yogurt . Thank you ."

"first of all there is no elevator which seems strange, as you have to carry your bags . secondly there was no air conditioning. the room was really hot and humid. we could not open the windows as it was right on the road with lot of traffic noise. a small fan was provided which was not helpful"

"Wonderful hosts whom made us a late request dinner. Rooms were clean and neat and everything was well decorated and functioning. A very nice breakfast as well. A minute to the ferry to Isle of Mull giving plenty of time for a day exploring Duart castle and Tobermorey. Highly recommend!"
