This hotel undergone a management change in Aug 2019, so I was reading the description with a pinch of salt, but found them to be very much accurate.
The staffs are friendly as expected, and the hotel is well equipped with standard amenities you can expect of a business hotel, but they don't have ice maker and coin laundry. However, I was allowed to make use of them from their sister hotel just round the corner. Nonetheless, the staff was also kind enough to warn me of the washing could take up to 2 hours and there might be a long queue, he was so nice to inform me of an alternative on the other side of the railway track.
Although the hotel is located by the side of Kokura station north exit, but this area aren't as happening as the other exit, despite that, there is a convenient store right at the corner, and a supermarket inside the train station, plus many more restaurants inside and on the south exit of the station, which is mere few couple minutes walk away.
If anything, I find my room bathtub a little narrow, and I wasn't even bulky built. As with most business hotels in Japan, the hotel doesn't provide complimentary bottled water, but there's a kettle provided, and there are vending machines on the ground floor. And despite its proximity to the train station, I didn't hear much noise from the rail tracks from my room facing away from the station. Overall, I have a very satisfactory stay and will consider them as a gateway in visiting other parts of Kyushu again.
