"Fantastic place. Would highly recommend staying here. Cosy, clean and all the facilities you need. So if want to cook Dave and Co. have put a lot of thought into making it a home from home. Everything you need is there. If cooking is not for you there's always the microwave! Or you could visit the island's Gealic Heritage centre. Great food. We walked to it.... superb walk taking in the flora and fauna. So peaceful. Good that there is good WiFi... Unfortunately we all seem to want to be...

"Property was shown (map and description) as being on mainland but was, in fact, on an island. Tried for months to get a refund but both property owners and Expedia pointed me back to the other. The cabin is a thoughtfully designed self-contained pod, built with natural materials, plenty of nice design touches, and careful thought put into maximizing a small footprint. This self-contained unit includes, a kitchenette, fire stove, and parking. Its position on a quiet hillside afford visitors with a gorgeous view of mists rolling down the hills to Loch Awe. "Loved the older building with updated features that made for a very comfortable stay. Very clean, nice room overlooking the harbor with small convenient kitchenette. Excellent comfortable king bed with convenient electrical charging capability on both sides. Very convenient location for access to the downtown area including the ferry, bus and train stations, but far enough from bustle and noise- very quiet. A fine continental breakfast with a great coffee maker for cappuccinos and more. Really enjoyed spending time in the cozy onsite pub and blethering a bit with the very congenial and accommodating host, with a good selection of drafts and extensive assortment of fine whiskys (wee suggestion: I would have loved a real dartboard 😉). I really enjoyed our three nights there and eagerly look forward to the next time we can visit Oban and revisit the Kelvin for our next stay. Highly recommended!"
