The staff was wonderful, so helpful and friendly. The location is great and they supplied free parking close by. We got to the hotel very tired after long travels and the room was ready so they let us check in early. We would stay there again and highly recommend!

The Pembroke is an excellent hotel that we have actually stayed at twice—once ~11 years ago and then the last few days. I remember really enjoying our stay the first time, and the second time did not disappoint. I did notice our rooms were showing some wear and tear that I do not remember seeing years ago. If the hotel invested in some bathroom updates and new carpet, it would match any upscale boutique hotel I've stayed in before. I would give it 4.5 stars!

From being received on arrival, to checking out at the end of our stay we were particularly impressed with how accommodating and attentive the staff were, including those that service the rooms. We were made to feel very welcome and all of our needs were met. The hotel is conveniently situated in the centre of Kilkenny with excellent options for both shopping and socialising - we will stay at the Pembroke Hotel again.

a lovely hotel for a two night stay.
the Pembroke hotel in kilkenny is a great hotel for a short break in kilkenny,the rooms are cosy, the ambience and feel of the hotel from the staff to the facilities is great and for me as a solo traveller it ticked all the right boxes.

Our first night in Ireland - couldn’t have picked a better place. Accompanying in every way. The attached restaurant was too notch, the food amazing. Don’t forget to order the hash browns. You’ll thank me later.

Très confortable, très bien placé, bon petit dej
En famille de 3 personnes lors d’un séjour itinérant en voitures : le personnel est très accueillant, le parking est vraiment appréciable, le confort de la chambre, spacieuse, est certain, et le petit déjeuner est délicieux, original pour ceux qui le veulent, classique pour les autres. En plus on est à la fois au calme et directement en centre ville. Je recommande. Seul hic : une détection incendie qui émet un flash lumineux régulier et un bruit électrique dans la chambre qui perdure meme quand on coupe la climatisation

The first room we were given was horrible & needed significant repair. For instance the TV didn’t work the coffee maker was broken, only had 1 chair etc. The second room was ok, but not of superior value. The saving grace was Darine

Well-run hotel in the centre of Kilkenny. Extremely convenient for touring this historic town. Hotel was comfortable and the reception staff were friendly and helpful. However, the restaurant was very disappointing. We were looking forward to dinner there, but the male waiter treated us with indifference, although we were among a very small number of people dining. Some sort of air-conditioning unit was malfunctioning (we assume) and the background noise was pretty awful in the outside dining area. This was not what one would expect from a good restaurant. The food was good, but unexceptional - but maybe we were overly impacted by the service and noise.

We can see the Kilkenny Castle from our hotel room! The breakfast is amazing and the staff are so friendly. The location is within walking distance to all attractions. Will come back again.
