There are a lot of stairs within the actual room itself, which is a trip hazard in the middle of the night. We checked out a day early as the bed was very uncomfortable and very low to the ground. "

Within walking distance to Kumamoto Castle, if walking is not your thing, you can take a taxi to the entrance of Josaien, which will lead you to the entrance of Kumamoto Castle as well.
