"Having a convenience store on the first floor was great. Security was also good as you need to scan a room key to go to floors with guest rooms. "

"Many hot springs around. Need your own transport to get around. Went off season so maybe the dining options were limited. Good place to unwind though."

"We had a wonderful stay Nagano Tokyu Rei Hotel. So much room & close to restaurants,transport etc. buffet breakfast was lovely as well & the staff very friendly. "

"Plenty of parking lot. Very nice female staff member who spoke some English and provided a Yukata for our 6 year old. Large, excellent room with amazing views. Value for money. Green tea provided. Had mostly private onsen experience ie hardly anyone around for both the outdoor and indoor onsen when we visited in early April 2025. Only few minutes drive from Snow monkey carpark. Of the 9 places we stayed in Japan, was our favourite."

"One of the best place to experience outdoor onsen at 1800m up in the mountain. Not a lot to do outside winter season if you do not drive. The surrounding is beautiful and an hour drive away from the Snow Monkey Park."
