Great hotel!

Beautiful hotel, very comfy, great beds, great bathroom. Very quick turnaround on laundry, and wonderful breakfast. Very safe area.

This is an immaculate property with very attentive staff. The food options, whether breakfast buffet, room service or restaurant were all varied, and delicious. The decor and lighting were eye catching and the high lobby ceiling overlooking the dining below and outside areas were exquisitely executed. Fantastic property.

Confused

Let’s see. Checked in and 5 mins later, somebody walks into our room. No apologies from the hotel even though the bell boy witnessed it. Had to call twice to get wifi in the room. 20 mins later they sent somebody’s stuff to our room. Next day - they don’t clean our room since they STILL think we’re somebody else that has requested no cleaning service. come back in the evening- loud, we’re pushed aside for their vip guest. The people are nice and trying their best, but there is something wrong with their processes. Overpriced. Not smooth like typical Marriott.

Great hotel with pool

I had a great stay at Marriott. Probably the best hotel I have stayed at in my life time. The staff is service minded and I felt relaxed and at ease at the hotel. The food was amazing and definitely a great place for hosting big events like a wedding. The spa was amazing. I had facial Saray signature and wished I had enough time for a massage.

Truly great experience. The room was spacious and clean. The view (to the East) was a delight (sunrise). The staff was attentive. Breakfast had a great variety. Dipping into the pool was refreshing. The spa was excellent: sauna nice and clean and I had a massage by Chantal - awesome. I recommend her. Overall I’d definitely stay there again.

Disappointing

I stayed at the Marriott Kigali, and I must say my experience was very disappointing. The service was far from what I expected from such a renowned establishment. Room service was extremely slow, and when my order finally arrived, it was not what I had requested. Additionally, I noticed a lack of attention towards the guests, which truly ruined my stay. I was hoping for better service and more care from the staff. I do not recommend this hotel if you are looking for quality service.

Very nice accommodation, the staff was very nice. I did have an issue with my flight coming in late, and had to notify the hotel. Accommodations refused to speak to me as I was told that an agent from Expedia had to speak to them. All agents from Expedia couldn’t make the call out to the hotel in Rwanda. I had to three-way the agent and the hotel. I ended up having to pay for the two nights, regardless of letting them know in advance.

Beautiful hotel let down by service

Beautiful hotel, with clean comfortable rooms, heard amazing things about the spa... let down by consistently disappointing service. Particularly by the pool where it's normal to wait 40 minutes before being able to order a drink, and then double that time for it to arrive. Pool team were nice but massively understaffed. Food throughout the hotel could be a lot better. In general I had to register several complaints and none of them were responded to in an adequate or timely manner - one complaint was very serious, broken glass that had been left uncleaned by the pool as we had children playing, some of which had made it's way into a friends food. Olivier was the only manager who was proactive, apologetic and followed through with some form of compensatory offer. Not sure I would return.

Decent, wirh some shortcomings

Decent modern hotel with some shortcomings. They had closed the main restaurant while we were there (without prior notice) and the other restaurant had a limited menu and felt short staffed (it also had a door that would not close properly and so was full of mosquitoes). Overall the food in this hotel was quite disappointing and service was spotty. A notable exception was the concierge service—very professional and helpful, always went the extra mile. Really top knotch concierge. Rooms are spacious and have nice views, and beds are comfortable. I was disappointed by the stains on the carpeting and there was a somewhat weird odor in the hallways—possibly a poor choice of air freshener but it smelled like mold or something stale. You may end up here anyway bc Kigali’s high end options are somewhat limited (and this is among the best) but be aware of these shortcomings. Might especially be worth checking if their restaurant is open.

Really comfortable rooms. Well equipped. Staff very helpful. Convenient high quality dining. Marriott cars always available and convenient. THE best place to stay in Kigali but not cheap - you have to pay for what you get.

The staff were excellent, helpful and personable. We only had the buffet breakfast during our stay, and there were many choices all well prepared. The room and bed were very comfortable. A few issues - the TV several times turned on by itself, including in the middle of the night, the shower door didn't close completely and leaked onto the mat, and while I was pleasantly surprised to be offered a takeout breakfast for our early departure to the airport, we did not have the tea I remember ordering. We were happy with our stay and will return for our next trip to Kigali
