"We booked last minute due to a flight cancellation, the owner and onsite property manager were lovely to deal with and accomodated us. We were given clean sheets and 2 towels and the bed was made. It was comfortable, the pullout divan was stained and not comfortable, those things typically are not. The place had not been cleaned and there was no handsoap and little toilet paper. "As our flight was delayed 6 hours, we didn’t arrive until 10 p.m. and everything was closed at the hotel. Departed at noon the next day, but did manage to walk around the property and checked out beach area which was limited, thus we would likely choose another location next time as we like longer beach walks. Room was very spacious and clean with large sliding doors and windows overlooking road vs waterfront, but was not a problem. Expensive for a short one night stay for what was offered."

"This was our second stay at South Gap. The room was cleaned and maintained daily. The pool and pool deck were also well maintained. The staff were all very friendly. We truly enjoyed our stay. The one thing I did notice was on check in it mentioned that ‘holding’ lounge chairs with towels would not be allowed for more than 30 minutes or the towels would be removed from the lounge chairs. This happened all day long and towels were never removed."

Since pool was covered it did not get much heat so water colder than normal. Staff was friendly and helpful.
