"This is a very authentic Japanese hotel and appeared to be mostly Japanese tourists. The dinner buffet had very loud live performance and the audience was definitely into it. There's an onsen at this hotel and a pool. The pool closes early and opens late so heads up. We didn't really pay attention to where the hotel was. It's about a 45 minute train from the Nara Park, we may have booked a closer place if we'd known, but for the experience of staying at this hotel it was pretty much worth...

"Hotel next door to supermarket which has all sorts on a few floors and great pet store that has exotic animals too like a mini zoo as well as cats & cute dogs that we visited everyday.
The actual supermarket in basement is open late too.
