"We booked a queen shower room, non smoking. This is a fairly new hotel the room we had was great and had a small writing desk. It is in a good quiet location and there are plenty of restaurants near by. It is a 10 minute walk from the tram stop & airport bus stop which was extremely convenient for us as we here flying out from Kagoshima to Osaka. Breakfast is on the top floor as is the reception area. The view from the top is wonderful with the volcano in the background. The highlight for us was...

"Sheraton Kagoshima is new & clean. Room size is good for Japan standard. There is a shuttle bus running to the Kagoshima Station. Which is actually walkable if you have 20 minutes. Overall an enjoyable stay. And there is an onsen at site."

"This was truly one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in Japan. I have visited Japan dozens of times in many cities and towns, and Shiroyama is really so perfect at everything. We got a family room and it was very spacious with the view of Sakurajima volcano. There was so much room spread out between the 4 beds. And the beds were so comfortable. They use such high quality linens and duvets. The bathroom was big enough but not huge, truthfully I almost never showered in the room as the hotel...

"Dormy inn is one of my favorite hotel chain in Japan. Nice and vey clean room. I love public bath and late night noodle service."

"This hotel is quite close to the Sakurajima ferry terminal which is very convenient! It's also just a walk away from the shopping district, but far enough away to still be quiet. The room had a bit of a weird layout and I kept accidentally walking into the mounted TV. The bathroom was a good size and comfortable enough to take a bath in. I would recommend skipping doing laundry at this hotel or in Kagoshima generally as it's quite a bit more expensive than other places. The breakfast...

"Hotel ist okay, Lage ist gut"

"I think the breakfast buffet was good especially the kurobuta pork that was cooked to order on a gas grill."
