Firstly there was no luggage transfer to and from the hotel which is such a bummer as how most if not all other hotels offer it here in Japan. Like imagine the frustration calling them only for them to say that no one would be around to receive them when you arrive and observe they have a reception at Level 13, it beats the whole vibe wannabe of a luxurious hotel. We also took pictures of hair that was not cleaned in the room when we arrived in the room. Breakfast was… no butter and chili was offered on the sides as well. Not worth the price. Not a good experience.

This hotel was really good, the location is nice and the staff really are helpful. Everything is new and clean. Make sure when you book you request a nice view ahead of time, my one complaint is that I did not have a very inspiring view.

My wife and I enjoyed our 4-night stay at the FAV LUX Kagoshima. We had a nice, spacious (bunk-style) room on the 11th floor, which offered a partial view of Sakurajima. Quick check in at 3:00 p.m. I was asked (via email a few days before we arrived) to complete a pre-check in, which seemed to save time. The hotel doesn't have parking, but we were able to park our rental car in one of the nearby pay lots (1,500 yen for one night). Plenty of restaurants and stores nearby. The airport bus (1,500 yen one way) stops about four blocks away. The trams too stop nearby (170 yen for one ride whether one goes one or many stops). We didn't use the restaurant or sauna, so I cannot comment on them. Though it was November and chilly outside, for some reason, our room was quite warm even after the sun went down; one night, we had to turn on the AC for an hour. Washer/dryer in the room, which we used once. Soft bed with soft pillows. On our next visit to Kagoshima, we will certainly consider staying at the FAV LUX again. Thanks!

Sparkling clean & comfortable stay. Very new hotel, they have everything you need. If you can travel smart and figure things out on your own- this is the best option for you. It is a good deal for what I am paying for. Having a coffee truck in front of the hotel is cool.

Very good location in Tenmonkan. An efficient process overall with a check in code (rather than worrying about a card!). The focus on modernity and efficiency means you miss out on having the lovely service of a good hotel. Decent breakfast and helpful staff should you have any questions. Would suggest sending instructions for check in in advance as it is all automated

Fav Lux is going to be one of our favorite hotels. Only a year old, everything is clean, brand new smell. Our room cam with a kitchenette. The toilet was separate, which is amazing, the bathroom was very spacious. Overall, the room was one of the largest ones we have stayed at so far. Highly recommended.

Room was okay but had odd features like none of the cabinets opening. And they don’t supply anything like dishes or silverware. The shower gets the toilet soaking wet. The building is a bit run down feeling, elevators take SOOOO long. Would not recommend.

フロントが最上階で海外旅行を思い出すおしゃれな内装で、部屋も新しくて綺麗でした。アメニティも揃っていて、自動チェックイン(チェックアウト)でスタッフの方と接触する時間が少なかったのも無駄なオペレーションがなくよかったです。 サウナ付きの部屋にしたので、同じフロアに氷やウォーターサーバーがあったのも良かったです。 観光もしたいしサウナも入りたいしで思ったより部屋サウナは堪能できませんでしたが、個室サウナメインに泊まりたい方にはいいと思いました。 個人的な感想ですが、旅行がメインの方はサウナなしの部屋で十分かと。その分の金額と時間を観光にあてたほうが満足度は高いです。 トータルは満足の滞在でした
