Waterfront on Glacier

Waterfront on Glacier

8/10 Good
"Stayed at The Waterfront for a conference in June. The staff were LOVELY - very upbeat, welcoming and helpful. The rooms are quite pretty and the beds are comfortable. The floor of my room had some stray dirt and wrappers, likely just missed during house cleaning (everything else, including the sheets and bathroom, was very clean), which is what led to the 3/5 star cleanliness rating. Parking is super easy, it’s just out front. The hotel was undergoing some construction when I stayed there, but it was never a bother. There was however some road noise, as the major road through Juneau passes right next to the hotel. It probably wouldn’t have been an issue if I was on the other side of the hotel though (and I would have missed out on beautiful sunset views of the harbor). The gym is pretty basic, just some free weights and a couple of machines, but if you’re in Juneau for outdoor stuff it shouldn’t matter much."

Aspen Suites Hotel Juneau

Aspen Suites Hotel Juneau

8/10 Good
"Aspen Suites main advantage is that it is almost walking distance from the airport, it also has a fridge, microwave and laundry facilities down the hall. The big disadvantage is that unlike other similar hotels (Homewood Suites for example) it does not offer breakfast or have any places to eat on site. Also the area is fairly industrial without places to walk to for a meal and downtown a fifteen minute uber. But it served its purpose for us as we had two early flights so stayed there several times during our Alaska vacation."
