Dockside Lake Resort
6/10 Okay
"Loved how close it was. Loved how friendly and prompt the staff was (we had difficulties with our door code). Didn’t love the smell in the room. Smelled like mildew. Didn’t like that our room was NOTHING like advertised. There was no BEDROOM. It was a studio. The parking was less than ideal for units 8/9/10/11 (angled and made it difficult for anyone leaving the property). Loved the kitchenette in the room. Didn’t like the broken bathroom window (wouldn’t open) and the lack of exhaust fan in the bathroom. Also- mold on the bathroom ceiling in multiple spots. Okay for one night, but will take my chances at another hotel/motel/cabin- accommodation next time. Also- didn’t use the pool- open 10-10. Checkout was simple. No staff at the office… I don’t think ever. Texting, phone calls, and the app are the communication preferences. Also super thin walls. We rented room 9 and family rented 10. You could hear through the walls! Room 11 wasn’t being OVERLY loud, but they could be heard in room 10. And I don’t know if animals are allowed, but someone absolutely had their dog there!!"
"The facility looked to be well-maintained. Interaction with the staff was very professional and everyone acknowledged me even as I was walking by. I’m figuring that all the windows on my side of the building did not have room darkening curtains. I was in room #310. Darkened curtains would be nice. Need to add some different selections of food such as biscuits and sausage gravy. What was there was tasty."
"This bed and breakfast is by far one of the top places my husband and I have stayed at. You are surrounded by luxury at Mill Creek Gardens and the staff is absolutely amazing."
"I booked for King bed but they gave me two queen bed. When i asked front desk they said they cannot do anything.
I was walking around the premises in late evening, some cop detained me suspecting someone else and despite knowing I’m staying in the hotel, they didn’t intervene. When cops let me go because they couldn’t associate me to whatever investigation they were doing, i approached front desk and the guy said sorry. This is very embarrassing and first time ever experience for me."
"Our stay was delightful. We were surprised to find that the hotel upgraded our room. The staff was wonderful with excellent suggestions on where to eat in town. We also found the food served at breakfast was tasty. And when planning our trip and comparing rates to other places to stay, the cost at Country Inn was a bargain. We'll be back."
