Access around the building is one way but to exit you have to go through a locked gate and you need a code - as a guest who has just arrived you don't have this info. I called the hotel 3 times whilst stuck at the gate and no one answered. Luckily a guest walked past and gave me the code. Went around again but this time went in the multistorey up a level. Be warned this car park is VERY TIGHT and not all cars are parked well. When...

"Room furnishings are very dated and in a state of disrepair e.g. stained carpets, furniture drawers wonky and not closing properly, door handles coming off, the list is endless! I had to request a change of room which was slightly better and the in-room safe didn’t work. And when explaining this to staff I was asked what colour the safe was and was then met with an ‘ah, ok’, as if they expected it not to be working from the colour it was, remarkable! Evening meal was no better than supermarket...

"From check in to check out.I had a lovely stay. The hotel is really nice.I had an amazing sleep while there. The beds are very comfy. The breakfast on offer was really good, with cooked available. It was nice having a proper coffee maker at breakfast, so able to choose what you like.I would definitely stay again if in the area"

"The staff were helpful as always , issue with the shower was rectified promptly. Water pressure in the hotel not great for flushing of loos etc but otherwise a great stay in a convenient location with everything you need on site. The room was clean and food and drinks were also good. The staff make this hotel as they are always happy to help."

"No wi fi available. . Room basic, with bed ,1 plastic chair ,1 plastic stool no sofa. No amenities apart from a Kettle, no cups but were given.2 paper cups and t and coffee when asked at reception. 2 bath towels but no hand towels. Tiny bar of soap and 2 sachets of shower wash. Bed rock hard and very uncomfortable. When stripping bed in morning, to save cleaners a little time , discoverd why we were pulling at the quilt all night...it was a single quilt sideways in a king sized cover! ...

"Friendly staff, clean, comfortable beds, breakfast was good. Nice central areas and amenities. Great location. All round would recommend if you are looking for a 'does what it says on the tin' and a bit more stay"

"Parking very easy till we booked in and were asked to pay £14, this was not mentioned on the hotel advert with Expedia nor on the email confirming the booking. After some debate with reception the guy borrowed our phone to show us where it was, not under this hotel but scrolled down another half dozen pages and showed us it the parking charges in the general terms and conditions, while scrolling saw the booking charge had dropped by £20, so suggested they took the parking charge out of this,...

"The gym and pool were good but busy. It's a walk out of town, maybe 20 mins walk to the train station. Very nice staff, bar staff were particularly friendly and welcoming. Had a minor cleanliness issue with my room. They didn't correct it and didn't offer any recompense for it. Not my hair on the chair!"

"In our Family Room, the bedsettee mattress was about 4 inches/10cm lower at the shoulders than the lower part of the mattress. Had to use all the towels to try to level it out a little otherwise their head was far too low!!"

"Our bedroom was clean & beds very nice / the bar & food was good. The hotel itself is beautiful in lovely gardens - we had super parking out the front for our car club - highly recommended."

"This was a great stay. A beautiful heritage property. Felicia and her Paul were fantastic hosts. We stayed with our son his wife and their 22 month old toddler. They could not have made us more welcome. Felicia was very accommodating about breakfast and other things as our son was running the Cheshire held marathon. The breakfasts were all delicious. Highly recommend this as a place to stay."

"I'm sorry to say I can't recommend the Alderley Edge Hotel. I stayed here for a business trip to the local business park, booked for two nights. The first night was fine — I slept well. My room (55, second floor) ran warm, but opening the window solved it. In the morning I noticed the shower pole had come away from the wall and was just hanging there. I flagged it at reception. It was still usable, so no real issue. The second night was a different story. The hotel was hosting an awards...

"The room was good sized, comfortable bed and clean. Only that the bathroom and shower had seen better days generally. I had the cold shower in the morning as the mixer tap in the shower was not working properly."

"Loved the room and leisure facilities. Room and bed were very comfortable. Restaurant on Wednesday 22nd April was a comedy of errors. Young lady checking people in was a bit out of her depth. Seemed rushed and really needed help. Waited over 30 minutes to take our food order. When the food came it was very good. Think management need to help this poor girl with more staff in the evening. Breakfast was tasty, but at over £200 per night B&B, expected waiter service and not a buffet."
