Perfect place with lovely staffs
It was all really amazing. the view from the room it was from the mountain soooo beautiful. The staffs are lovely made our breakfast with love and was all really delicious. I highly recommend and definitely when I go back to Iceland I will be there.

Icelandic Historic Beauty and Top Chef Stay
Remarkable historical girl with fantastic food and cozy dining! We missed having a small kitchen and a coffee maker for our stay so we could cook something light and not need to bother the restaurant guests after a long travel day! Overall it was truly lovely

Strange arrival... they didn't have the room type we booked with private bathroom, so they would have booked us in another place but ended up giving that to someone else and we were stuck with a shared bathroom. They were friendly about it, maybe expedia messed things up too. At any rate the breakfast was great, higher quality than most places we stayed. House is a bit quaint with steep stairs. Shared toilet is on the same floor but showers downstairs.

Reasonable price! Great location! Rooms very comfortable. The bathrooms were great for being shared. Treat yourself to a little surprise by driving up the hill. We enjoyed our breakfast

The stay was very pleasant. The room was very clean albeit small. It had a small sink so that you don't have to use the shared bathroom for brushing your teeth, etc. The wifi was good as well. The shared bathroom was really clean. One disappointing thing - the in-house restaurant was a tad expensive for a small town. The plokkfiskur (fish stew) was almost 4k ISK which is higher than a lot of good eateries in Reykjavik.

Locstiok was vreag alongside river and waterfalls Room was stunningly decorated and everything matched the theme of the old skyr factory. Dinner was great and their cakes are amazing Breakfast was all cold, not even toast. Made to order and toast would have been good. No tea and coffee in rooms was a major downfall...never seen this before Staff speak little english

We took a deluxe room with private bath room, but that was only a toilet, and the bath tub was in the bed room, which (to my taste) was inconvenient and wet the floor (didn’t recalling seeing that setting when I reserved the room) There was no shower gel or shampoo, a bedside light bulb was missing, toilet mirror light was no working. The breakfast was all cold food except tea and coffee (maybe I expected too much).

Loved it!
We had a lovely room and the young couple who were running the inn were lovely, and informative. Great location to stay if doing activities around the area, plus its a funky little town. We would go back in a heart beat! Also, they had the nicest breakfast out of all our stays in Iceland.

Great location close to everything downtown. It is a good stopping point outside of Reykjavik. There is a great hike to a hot springs not too far from there. The food was incredible at the cafe. Try the chocolate cake you won't be disappointed.

We did not get the room we booked and were very disappointed about that. Check in was less than welcoming. Room had 2 TVs and neither worked but since it was after 10pm there was no one to call about the issue. Room had a tiny bathtub and no shower which was not called out in the description. The best part was the breakfast, which oddly is actually provided by a different hotel a short drive away, but was excellent.

Great little guesthouse. Good food, clean, friendly people. Do try the lamb! A kettle in the room would’ve been useful but otherwise a great place to stay. Thanks!

Good value for money. The room was fine for sleeping in but not space. That was ok, though. Great location, easy to find. Easy parking. Shared bathroom was not a problem. Great breakfast included in the cost!

Friendly staff, excellent breakfast with plenty of skyr 😃. Warm and cozy room. Plenty of towels. Can’t speak highly enough of the guesthouse.

Great place in a fantastic location. Located in an adorable town close to food store, gas station and many places to eat. Also close to park and beautiful hike. Food at restaurant was amazing and homemade. Staff was friendly and accommodated us promptly when we arrived early for check-in. Room and bathroom were both spotless and plenty of room for the two nights we stayed.

Stay at SKYR!
We booked the room with the private bath. It was one of our favorite accommodations during our trip. The room was very spacious and homey. Our favorite part was the oversized tub that was good for warming up after a chilly day exploring. The Café downstairs is excellent and the free breakfast at the sister hotel is also excellent.

Guest house was great. Room and inn were lovely — only issue could have been the shared bath. It was not clear in the room discription but we were only guests using it so it was not a problem. Best part was the staff, complementary breakfast and coziness of restaurant. Locals and guests frequented so it was relaxing and delicious. Town was walkable with a few shops and there was a little hike/path to a park with a warm stream nearby. Adorable alternative if you don’t want city.

Well placed for our needs, with a good restaurant
Smallish room, not ensuite, which we knew, staff helpful and fixed a couple of faulty lightbulbs within half an hour, reasonably priced. Breakfast (at least Monday to Friday) is at another hotel about 7 -8 mins walk and an excellent breakfast it was, with a pretty walk along the river. only a problem if raining, but we had cagoules!
