Every detail of our activities, shopping, and travel was thoughtfully arranged by our hostess, Jennifer, with more care than I would ever take for myself. She took the time to understand our food preferences and prepared delicious breakfasts and dinners using fresh, local produce from the estate. "Do not deal with this lodge. We originally booked 2 nights. Due to terrible circumstances in Sri Lanka, we couldn’t make it on the first night due to flooding and access to the lodge. The next day, the lodge told us again not to go there as it was still not clear and unsafe. Therefore, I requested a refund like the day before because it wasn’t our choice not to visit, but the lodge. Since this, there has been no reply to emails or refund requests to explain. Terrible. "

"It is my second stay at Galavilla. I love this place so much. I was happy that the hotel is well developt. I feel as a home. The morning view form the room is realy breathtaking. The hotel is open around 5 years but still everythings is as new.I never see it in another hotels in Sri Lanka. I can recomend everyone who like nature and relax."

"It is a lovely property ans breakfaat spread is quite large. Staff are friendly byt could be better trained on small nuances. The last who checked us in vaguely indicated the direction of the room and we spent 10 minuted walki g up and down searching for it. When we asked for a la carte food options other than the I.suan restaurant they have, ot took me 20 minutes to get the front desk to admit that a la carte foid could be ordered at tje lounge bar as well. "Beautiful property. Well maintained. Appreciated the nature walk and yoga sessions. The thermal pool was great. However very poor value for money. The Sri Lankan food was bland and the food left much to be desired for. Although the food was well presented the flavours were lacking. No menus options, very limited juice options, most things are chargeable. Nothing was really offered. Staff responded to requests but had to ask for everything. Was disappointed. "
