"My friend and I had a lovely time. All staff were fantastic, the service was excellent. The room was very clean and comfy. The food was very nice, however the breakfast under the hot lights didnt stay fresh or tasty. I would suggest an extra choice of butter, too. The existing one was uneatable, another common British sold butter would have been nice. But overall, I rate this hotel highly."

"Staff were polite and welcoming, the room was clean, although I got the family room which meant sound proofing wasn't great with the room next door and neighbour had the TV on very loud very late into the night. The gym was week equiped and clean"

"The dining area and front of house is nice and modern. The rest of the hotel is like stepping back 30 years. All in need of modernising. The staff are great! Food was good. "

"Parking was free we stayed on top floor view was nice but room heating was not working properly and bathroom door didn't close when we arrived atmosphere seemed pleasant but as i got to reception the receptionist i was greeted by a unwelcoming receptionist which seemed moody really felt uncomfortable checking she did not tell us properly about our stay just checked us in and told us your room is on top floor did not even say enjoy your stay or anything for that reason i will not be going back to stay at the village hotel worst stay ever "

"The hotel was immaculate and breakfast was good but the stand out feature of our stay were the staff. All staff we dealt with were extremely helpful, courteous and we loved the sense of humour of the male member of staff greeting us at breakfast. Our room was lovely and comfortable and the discount on hotel bar items was great. "

"Decent boozer, no evening food offering but two mins walk is a cracking eat in chippy. Bar staff were spot on, live football on and good Guinness Breakfast is good and worth £10 Definitely use again when in the area"
