"Schönes Hotel mit kleinen, gemütlichen Zimmern. Verdammt heiße Dusche, daher aufpassen! 😀 Gute Anbindung an die Autobahn, ausreichend Parkplätze und sehr nettes Personal. Wir kommen gerne wieder."

"The stay was wonderful and we were treated with personal care. The only negative was that our room needed a little bit of repairs, given that the building is several hundred years old. Everything worked fine, but there were a few creaks in the floor that were in need of attention. The issue was limited to our room. The rest of the building appeared to be in great shape. By the time a reader sees this comment, the issue may have already been taken care of."

"The room was very tired, wobbly floorboards, causing the wardrobe to rattle excessively. The bathroom again was tired, the shower was cold. Broken toilet roll holder. It was clean though. We were hardly in the room anyway, so it did what was needed. The fire alarm went off on the first night, which wasn't a nice wake up call. Luckily it was just someone vaping in their room. The staff were friendly though . I'm was about a 25 minute walk from the station there's a bus also. No 3 heworth cafe was...

"All the staff super friendly and the room was very big and clean. The mattress wasn’t great though and the noise travelled through the rooms- people above were quite noisy. Breakfast had good options but the scrambled egg on toast wasn’t great- should’ve done the full English! Would stay again but the bed could be comfier and hopefully not as noisy people above next time."

"Quiet with parking. The restaurant was exactly what we were looking for. The room was ok. We almost locked ourselves in because the door handle fell off."

"The bar."

"Every time we go to York we stop at Guy Fawkes Inn, and we can’t see this stopping in the future. The staff are warm and courteous, the location perfect, the decor rich and luxuriant, the food sublime and the beer gardens delightful. Whether starting the day with a full English or ending the day with a drink and tucked up in a blanket by one of the beer garden heaters, this beautiful place has it all: charm, character, and a hearty recommendation from us for anyone planning on stopping. And...

"Very friendly, welcoming staff. The rooms have everything you need for a comfortable stay. Great choice of food, fresh ingredients and good choice. Highly recommended"

"Just came back after a 2-night stay. The place was easy enough to find and we didn’t struggle for parking either, location is great. However, as it is self check-in there isn’t anyone around. Everything is done via text messages and code locks. The first room we were given hadn’t been cleaned at all after the previous guests had left. I let the person at the other end of the text messages know, and we were “upgraded” to another room (slightly larger and had a bathtub instead of a shower). This ...

"Lovely old-fashioned pub with a warm welcome We had a lovely overnight stay here. It’s a charming, old-fashioned pub with friendly and helpful staff who made us feel very welcome. The rooms are no-frills but have everything you need—spotlessly clean, with crisp white bedding and a really comfortable bed. We had a great night’s sleep. It’s also in a great location, with free car park and just a 10-minute stroll into York city centre. At such a bargain price, we were really impressed. Would...
