"Room was spacious and the bed was comfy. Loved the River and Mountain View’s. The nature close by so nice! Lots of shops and restaurants to enjoy. Very walkable area. The bikes for guests was a great added amenity!"
"Excellent service and a number of onsen options. Breakfast is delicious and offers a lot of delicacies. Optional kansakei style dinner was excellent. The staff were courteous and it seems like there is someone either cleaning the place or waiting to serve you. Free udon at night at 10 PM. Massage service was very good and done by experiences local masseurs. Minor complaint is that some of the furniture is dated but it also gives some ryokan charm."
"If you want to experience traditional ryokan with fabulous meals, this is the place for you. It is a bit dated like visiting your relative’s house in the small town. It’s surrounded by maple forest, like living in a nice cabin. This is not modern hotel, if you set your expectation right, you will not be disappointed. All the stuffs are so kind and warm. They are great people dedicated to their jobs and it makes me want to visit Kyoto again."
