"Wonderfully helpful staff. I was cycling with my grandson who is doing a sponsored cycling challenge for his primary school. They put our bikes in their garage and when they learned of the scheme even gave him a generous contribution to his challenge. Really nice people AND a great breakfast."

"Colin and Lisa were superb and friendly hosts and the stay was not only comfortable and clean, but also aesthetically pleasing. The breakfasts were well prepared according to taste. We were delighted with our two nights' stay there and will hopefully return soon."

"As the name suggests The Old Priory provides an Olde World experience in an impressive building with pears and apples in the garden along with beautiful plants. The owner and host is most welcoming and extremely knowledgeable. He can provide a vast range of information on Kelso and all that it offers. Great rooms, extremely comfortable beds and excellent showers. Quality of full Scottish breakfast deserves a special mention.Lovely. Porridge also very good. Variety of cereals available, tasty bread and homemade jams. All aspects mentioned contributed to an extremely enjoyable stay."

"This accommodation is very well located in the Kelso town square and within easy walking distance to pubs, cafes and restaurants.The bakery to the left of the front door is outstanding for home cooked morning rolls and beautiful cakes. Apartment 1 is spacious, clean and has everything you need despite the furnishings being a bit dated. Note this accommodation may not be suitable for those with mobility issues due to the stairs to all rooms. This is a great base for trips to Lindisfarne,Bamburgh castle(Last Kingdom) and abbeys in Melrose, Jedburgh and Kelso itself. Cute shops in Kelso as well."

"Lovely hotel with excellent pub attached, particularly good for a drink but also served good food. Breakfast was also very good, and packed lunches are can be bought for anyone on a hiking trip if you arrange this the evening before"
