"Excellent value. Old southern charm, but with emphasis on the old— our room was as clean as housekeeping could possibly make it, but the carpet had large stains, shower door can’t stay shut, paint on bathroom ceiling and parts of walls cracked and peeling. Tile missing on bathroom floor. Brilliant location right in historic district because hotel is pretty much the historic anchor (former exclusive millionaires club built at end of 19th century). "Lovely staff, property is home to people eho are without housing and have animals which is very admirable. The rooms were very old and dirty. Linens were aweful, very uncomfortable place to stay for the amount paid!"

"Interior had nice upgrade touches while exterior looked a little run down, so entering the room was a nice surprise. Bed was comfortable, the AC worked. Two downsides: 1. No hot water for shower 2. Lots of sketchy people loitering, walking around. Had to sign a sheet saying I understood no fighting, no drugs, must be dressed if outside room. This was a pit stop for me on my way home. Great value. I would stay there again, especially if they get their hot water issue resolved."

"We were pleasantly surprised by this little place. We were honestly just looking for a cheap place to lay our heads for the night on a long trip home. I’m usually very picky about hotels but on this trip we were on a tight budget and I was a little nervous when booking. However, this place was absolutely wonderful. "Nothing about this hotel was right. The the way the pitchers look is not the way the room is they put us in a rodardy room. I asked for them to change the room. We're clean, they put us in another dirty room. That was smaller and did not accommodate what my reservation was. Then, I asked for the to just cancel the reservation and give me a refund. If they could not accommodate us. And they did not do that. We ended up spending a whole nother amount to go to another hotel and I have not heard...

"First off the bed was comfortable. Unfortunately, we had to request clean sheets and change them ourselves. We were traveling with 2 dogs so I’m sure we were assigned the worst room. The breakfast was good. The evening check in was a bit odd. I believe someone was being trained but was not greeted or addressed upon arrival and they didn’t check my ID which I thought was odd. Staff were pleasant but not engaging. Hotel is older and needs upgrades. Good for a quick stay."

"Room was clean. Definitely older property. Pets allowed which was great! My door however did not have any interior installation so it was not as secure as I would like and allowed noise and sunlight through it. In room fridge definitely needed to be cleaned better. "

"The room smelled awful i got dick. The first room The air conditioner didn't work. No blow dryer, no iron, no coffee maker and no breakfast like advertised. When I came out of the bathroom the was a giant cockroach crawling on the floor. When we got home there where some in my luggage. Stay away from this place worst hotel I ever stayed at."

"Room was dated and mold in tub and walls of bath. Curtains did not keep huge lights outside from shining into room. Dining table was dirty at bfast. Food was fine and plenty to choose from. As a Hilton Member this one was not a great stay and there are many more choices across both sides of hiway. Would not stay here again."
