"Wonderful overnight stay with our springer spaniel . Lovely clean and spacious dog friendly room in the Annex with a fabulous view . Set in wonderful grounds with lovely outdoor areas and enjoyed a great circular walk down to the river. All staff were so friendly and the steak for the evening meal was cooked perfectly as was the very generous breakfast . Definitely be back"

"Rooms were tidy, clean bedding etc but bed is super old with springs and not great as my side of the bed bowed. Pillows super thin with no alternative. Bathroom was clean but a lot of mould in the shower. It was good for a night to rest our heads but definitely not what I was sold on the internet. The outside of the building looked like a work building. Upon entering it was an empty reception, go to 2nd floor to check in - old carpets but reception area very neat. "Stayed here to attend a conference on site which was convenient. Breakfast is very good and I really liked the on site spa and fitness facilities. The spa had a promotion with the hotel which was good. The room is nice, comfortable and clean. Would’ve appreciated a mini fridge in the room although the hotel staff allowed me to keep things in reception. The reception staff are generally very helpful except one male manager during my stay who was not very flexible or helpful."

"We had no wifi at all .no blind at well overlooked by people having coffee at open doors on raised level opp room 206 no privacy . Bath taps didnt work towels looked grey not white Heating didnt work when we arrived lift broken for years as other guests told us too .No tissues in bathroom very poor restaurant set in beautiful grounds but not a good experience sadly "

"A modern and comfortable room, but the poor breakfast service let down the overall enjoyment of the stay. The rooms are well designed and high quality, although there were issues with our lamp (flickering badly, couldn’t use it) and shower (blocked plug hole, not draining). Maintenance issues were reported to reception, but as it was the weekend, I was told there was nobody available to look into it until Monday. Nevertheless, we enjoyed the rest of the room. Breakfast was disappointing....

"Everything was fine, the only thing to be aware of is they will charge you to park your car, apart from that everything was absolutely fine, hotel very clean and the staff very friendly and polite."

"Excellent proximity to Manchester convention centre, China Town, theatre and oxford Road rail station etc. Good clean comfortable bed. Pity no provision of simple tea making facility in the bedroom. Breakfast is less than basic for the breakfast price paid. One receptionist being difficult, refused to print receipt when not booked through hotel directly. But another reception at other time happily attended the request. "
