We requested (and booked) a family room, on arrival, we were given two double rooms opposite each other. Not a problem for our 1 night stay, but it could have been. Definitely recommend if you're visiting this stunning part of England – they will help with guidance for walks and dark skies star spotting etc. "

"Stayed over New Year and decided to stay and extra night as we felt so comfortable as staff and food were good. Room was a little small for a 'premium ' but adequate. The bar/ lounge is great, lovely fires and a lot of residents brought their dog, the staff engaged with all👍👍. Look forward to seeing how they upgrade the hotel after the January shutdown. We will be back."
