"The location was fantastic, the breakfast very good, and the staff was great and very accommodating. The fridge, TV, microwave in the room were nice. I understand that the property is going through a face-left, which is needed. Some of the room (bathrrom) was not cleaned well but I'm pretty picky."

"Between the toilet making horrific noises, the old woman that worked the bar Sunday should not be working there at all. Nice woman but she needs to not be working, waited over 20 mins for a drink. Which never received. . Woke up at 7am to the stench of cigarette smoke in my room which in itself absolutely disgusting! The pillows were ancient too, for a hilton you’d expect a higher level of service and amenities. Website said restaurant …. False. Won’t be staying there again"

"Very straightforward place. Clean and fairly quiet hotel. However walls thin so could easily hear neighbors in their room. The front desk person did not seem interested in putting us in the best room possible. We were put in a room that did not match what we had purchased, but we were in too much of a hurry to rectify."

"If you want to pay a lot of money and get very little in return, this is the hotel for you. This was the worst Marriott experience we’ve ever had. When we checked in, we had to get our own luggage cart and bring our bags to the room ourselves. The room was missing basic amenities — no water, no ice bucket, and the refrigerator wasn’t even cold. We paid extra for a corner room with a water view, but instead we got a view of other buildings with no water in sight. The hot tub shown in the hotel photos was empty and unusable. There was also no information provided about local restaurants or attractions. Even the valet staff couldn’t offer recommendations when we asked. On top of that, you have to pay extra for either valet parking or self-parking. Breakfast was $25 per person and honestly worse than school cafeteria food. If you’re visiting Hartford, CT, stay anywhere but here. Extremely overpriced and a huge disappointment."
