"Quiet helpful staff."

"Lovely clean hotel with great views of the moon and sunrise from our ocean view room. Parking was easy. Took us a few attempts to get into the hotel from the carpark as the door latch seem to catch a little. Room was clean and well appointed with a comfy bed. TV took a while to respond and it took me a while to realise I needed to wait for it. Great amenities in the shower, though someone had already opened and used the bath salts that were provided. "Very friendly greeting on arrival. Very good location near the city centre. Room was spotless. Even though 'dated' facilities were all you needed for a very comfortable stay."

"The facilities were excellent and the host John was friendly and congenial and throughout our stay ensured we had everything we needed. He was informative about the local area and recommended things to see which was much appreciated. A bonus was we really enjoyed feeding the animals and learnt a lot about alpacas. "

"I think the room we stayed was below the house where the owners of the accommodation live. The room and shared space look good and the shower was enjoyable. There's no parking available on the driveway, parking is further down the hill on the street."

"This is a wonderful hotel but was very disappointed with the staff on check in. We arrived after 2pm, check in was 2pm, and the room wasn't ready. We sat in the foyer for almost an hour then when I approached the Duty Manager he me told the room had been ready for awhile. Clearly they hadn't noted that I was sitting in the foyer with a person in a wheelchair and approached us to say that the room was ready. Secondly in order to eat at the in-house restaurant we were made to go out in the cold...

"Unit was spotless, it exceeded our expectations. The staff were very friendly, allowed us to park early and check in early. This place is very well managed and operated, would highly recommend to others. Only downside was the pillows, but everything else was great"

"Small but stylish hotel a short distance from the centre of Dunedin. Free hotel parking was a real bonus. We had a queen room which had views out over the city. The room was well equipped and nicely furnished. The included breakfast was outstanding; freshly cooked to order. Anabel was a very welcoming host and her dog, Lola, a delight."

"Great location, easy walk to city centre, botanic gardens and university. Large rooms, good kitchen facilities for breakfast and heating meals up, big bathroom. It is an older building, so some things are not perfect but it is clean, comfortable and warm. We will definitely stay again."
